Hello everyone! I want a chicken spaghetti recipe with a cheese sauce rather than a tomato. I've googled and googled. Most I see call for Cream of Mushroom, Velveeta and other stuff. The Cream of Mushroom soup, just makes me say yuck. Maybe I should just try it before I think "yuck".

ITS SOOOOO GOOD. That's how you make it though. Cream of mushroom soup, velveeta, lots of it, and chicken. Someone will give you an exact recipe, but I just love the yummy gooeyness of it. Friday afternoon we're having a chicken spaghetti luncheon to say goodbye to my boss, who's been promoted. tear

I cheat, I use 'vodka sauce' (it is a cream sauce) from one of the sauce makers. I think it is Bertoli. I add grilled chicken. It is sooo goood!! It is actually pretty light tasting too. ( I don't think it is light in calories tho! )

I just found this:

CHICKEN AND SPAGHETTI IN CHEESE SAUCE

1 1/2 c. cooked, deboned chicken, chopped
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can tomato soup
1 1/2 c. cheese (or more if desired) Velveeta

Mix chicken soup and tomato soup together and cheese. Heat. Put chicken in, then put spaghetti in mixture. Heat until warm. Salt and pepper to taste.

And another:

4 chicken breasts
1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
Spaghetti
2 sm. cans tomato sauce
1 can Rotel tomatoes & chilies
1 lb. American cheese (blue box)

Boil chicken breasts until done and debone. Cook spaghetti in chicken broth. Saute chopped onion and bell pepper in 2 sticks of butter. In a large casserole mix all ingredients well. Heat in oven until cheese is melted

Wow, there's lots!

CHICKEN SPAGHETTI WITH CHEESE SAUCE

1 (12 oz.) pkg. spaghetti, cooked & drained
3 (5 oz.) cans boned chicken or 1 1/2 c. leftover chicken or turkey, chopped

CHEESE SAUCE:

3 c. hot water
2 tsp. chicken bouillon or 2 chicken bouillon cubes
12 slices American slice cheese
1/2 lb. light Velveeta cheese
1 tbsp. butter

DRY SEASONINGS:

(Approximately 1/2-1/4 teaspoon of each or to taste.)

Salt
Pepper
Accent food seasonings
Celery salt
Onion powder

Dissolve the chicken bouillon and melt the cheese in the hot water. Add the dry seasonings and the butter to the cheese sauce. Add the chicken or the turkey. Pour the cheese sauce into the boiler the spaghetti is in. Let the spaghetti and the cheese sauce simmer for approximately 5-10 minutes before serving. Serve as main dish with cornbread or a side dish with cooked dry beans and cornbread.
Note: If you want more cheese sauce; be sure to add 4 slices of cheese, 1 teaspoon of chicken bouillon (or 1 bouillon cube) and dry seasoning per cup of water. The cheese sauce should be an even blend of chicken and cheese.

Last one!

CHEESE CHICKEN SPAGHETTI

7 oz. thin spaghetti, uncooked
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. milk
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. red cooking wine
1 tsp. chicken bouillon
1+ c. leftover chicken (turkey)
1/2 c. vegetables (broccoli, carrots, etc.)
1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated

Cook spaghetti. Melt butter in 10 inch skillet; stir in flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat.
Stir in milk, water, wine and instant bouillon. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in meat, Cheddar cheese, spaghetti and vegetables. Pour into ungreased 2 quart casserole, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Cook uncovered in 350 degree oven until bubbly, about 30 minutes. Set oven control to broil or 550 degrees. Broil just until brown.
