| Hubby is making Ghoulosh (get it?) tonight with ground beef and some pasta shape, probably shells. It's a little different from spaghetti. Or you could do Manwiches/Sloppy Joes. Or meatloaf. |

what's the weather, you can make veggie soup with it..........
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
- 1/4 cup dry onion soup mix
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
DIRECTIONS
- In a large pot over medium high heat, saute the ground beef for about 5 minutes, or until browned. Drain off excess fat.
- Add the tomatoes, sauce, water, vegetables, soup mix and sugar. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

I've made this before - kids LOVED it. Not exactly healthy or extremely nutrional, but as an occasional "special" treat, it's pretty good

"A lickety-split version of that ever-popular standby, shepherd's pie. Seasoned ground beef and onions are sauteed, layered in a casserole with potatoes, topped with condensed cream of mushroom soup, sprinkled with cheese and baked."
INGREDIENTS:
|
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 (32 ounce) package tater
tots
|
1 (10.75 ounce) can
condensed cream of
mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar
cheese
|
DIRECTIONS:
| 1. |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). |
| 2. |
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with the onions. Drain excess fat, and season with salt and pepper to taste. |
| 3. |
Spread the beef mixture evenly over the bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish. Arrange tater tots evenly over beef layer. In a small bowl, stir the soup into the milk until smooth; pour over tater tot and beef layers. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese evenly over the top. |
| 4. |
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and slightly brown. |

lol!! NO!! And its getting to be a joke at my house too... because I told Kevin I wasn't waiting for him to want it anymore, I was going to make it for myself... So now every night he asks "you making meatloaf tonight?" It's just so hard because I'm not the one who cooks most of the time, and he's always cooking something yummy!! Trust me, when I do I am going to take pictures It will be a special event!!
BTW... bbq chips go excellent with (or on) sloppy joe |

How about a homemade spaghetti sauce: 1 lb. ground beef 1 medium yellow onion 1 bell pepper fresh garlic (to taste, but I use a lot because it makes a big pot) sliced mushrooms carrots chopped 16oz tomato sauce 1 can diced tomatoes 1 small can tomato paste 1/2 cup ketchup salt to taste Italian seasoning to taste Saute beef, onions, carrots, and bell pepper. Once beef is browned, drain and add garlic, salt and Italian seasoning. Saute until well blended. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for at least 30 minutes. Note the longer you simmer, the better the sauce. Also, the sauce is always better the next day, so it is great for left overs. I will make a big pot like this and use it to make spaghetti, lasagna, and pizzas. It is very versitile. I add seasonal vegetables as well, squash in the summer, and etc. Enjoy! And let me know how it goes! |
