Some of you might remember that I have been wanting to create a cookbook..and alot of you sent me recipes previously. WELL....a MAJOR worldwide publishing company is interested in my idea...supposedly it hasn't been done before. They are just waiting for a proposal in writing (which I'm working on) and then hopefully it's a GO!!!

So right now I'm just gathering recipes...that's where YOU ALL come in. I know that so many of you are FABULOUS cooks...and here's your chance to get that favorite special recipe of yours known!

This is what I'm looking for:

1. It has to be a recipe that YOU personally have made (because I'm not going to test every one of them...I trust you guys )

2. The recipe must be just as good if not BETTER the next day..like reheated

3. Please include HOW to reheat, etc, the next day...and also if you can add anything to it to make it even better. For example....I have a chili recipe that a friend sent in...it's awesome...but even better 2 days later; he adds a can of corn to it then. I also have a pasta recipe that 2 days later you add american cheese to....it rocks.

Thanks yall!

Oh...you can email anything to me at natalie.friedewald@gmail.com

Thank you Donna!

Also..I forgot to mention that any recipe that you submit will get your name in the book (most likely in the back) so you will get credit.

Another thing..each recipe used will need to have a professional picture involved..so if you can take an awesome one that would be great. If not...that's cool....we can make your dish and photo it.

-Nat

Ok that sounds like something I can do. How soon do you need it? I can make my dishes and take my own pictures.

How about a homemade spaghetti sauce:

1 lb. ground beef
1 medium yellow onion
1 bell pepper
fresh garlic (to taste, but I use a lot because it makes a big pot)
sliced mushrooms
carrots chopped
16oz tomato sauce
1 can diced tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
1/2 cup ketchup
salt to taste
Italian seasoning to taste

Saute beef, onions, carrots, and bell pepper. Once beef is browned, drain and add garlic, salt and Italian seasoning. Saute until well blended. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for at least 30 minutes. Note the longer you simmer, the better the sauce. Also, the sauce is always better the next day, so it is great for left overs. I will make a big pot like this and use it to make spaghetti, lasagna, and pizzas. It is very versitile. I add seasonal vegetables as well, squash in the summer, and etc.

There is nothing better than wine and chocolate!
