Sausage & Potatoes in the Rice Pot

1-2 pounds of “fresh” sausage

6 medium potatoes

1 stick of butter

½ cup chicken broth (optional)

½ onion

onion tops

½ bell pepper

Chop sausage into 1 inch cubs. I like to use seizers for this as it works well without destroying your sausage. Peel your potatoes or you can leave the peelings on if you like it will work the same and slice and cut into 1 inch cubes. Cut stick of butter in to sections and add all ingredients into rice pot. Add ½ cup of chicken broth and season to taste. Mix well and cover. Stir every so often until potatoes are done. Once your potatoes are tender it is ready to eat.

oh, now that sounds yummy! It almost sounds like Morgan's invention! I think I might have a rice pot too, I'll have to go excavating into the cupboards

sorry if this sounds stupid to all you cooking people, but I was just re-reading the ingredients again. What are onion tops?

ok, another question!!! If I don't have a rice pot, will this work in a crockpot? Or wok or skillet?

Ok that could be a problem... how do you not have a rice pot??? I never heard of anyone not owning one!

I guess you could try putting it in a covered dish and putting it in the oven. It may take longer to cook but should give you similar results.

Lol,  I don't cook!!  I think the last time I tried I made Nat's easy chicken bake and the glass pan exploded  I took that as a sign...  Plus, my kitchen is so small, we have no room for pots and stuff, so I'm very limited!  I can't wait to move out and start really learning to cook!!  I want to!!

It was awful too! There was chicken all over the floor I made it again the next night though and it worked fine!!! Of course since then I always make Kevin take things out of the oven... It was scary, it exploded while I was holding it! Very odd, very odd!
