Ahahahahahahahaha!! OMG, I seriously didn't think about that! Even after all the fiasco about the transport for Fi, I'm only half awake yet this morning, and I saw the Canadian flag and was like, "Er.....?" And then my mind snapped into gear and I was like, "OH YEAH! Layla and Lucy and Fi are Canadian, DUH!"

Totally cute pictures! =)

That is really good!!!! I wish my dogs would sit still to take pictures. As you can see both were miserable.

Anyhow, my entry was just to point out that Canada Day is July 1st.

I caught Abby while she was tired after Agility class, otherwise she's harder to get to sit still

Your girls look good! Maybe a little confused as to why they've got leis on instead of collars, but cute. =) I love your deck, too... so jealous. I wanted outside pics, so I took the kids outside, but I'm in an old old old house, and renting half of it so don't mind the icky-lookin front door. >< lol I'm moving as soon as I find a job.

Ok this was very difficult with a 12 week old puppy that does not understand stay yet (he seems to have sit down). Pixel is so funny she was looking in my husbands eyes where Raster would only look at the treat which made the ones of them together pretty terrible pictures I think it was harder getting the husband to do what I wanted though then the puppies, he should have held the treat by his eye then it would have been fine!

Outside of a flood of late entries I'd say they are all winners.  How could anyone choose between these terrific entries?

Grand First Place, 1st,2nd,3rd Place Runner Ups or a three-way tie, and Distinguished Canadian Representatives (eh?).  It's called "New Rattie Math."  I see a really nice banner in the making...

Amy...your picture is soooo awesome! how did you get them to sit so perfectly? i got Heath a tee shirt at walmart but it was too small...need to return for next size up. ? for you guys...how do you know what your rattie SHOULD weigh...I know Heath has gained at least a few lbs since i got him. at 5 months he was 10lbs, and last time i weighed him, about 10 months..he was 13 lbs, he is 11 months now...and feels heavier to me, but does not look overweight. his build is a bit stockier, but one of his siblings was named Hercules, loll.

Treats.. lots of treats. =)

Rule of thumb is that they should be sleek, have an obvious tummy tuck/waist, and you should be fairly easily able to FEEL their ribs, and maybe see a rib or two when they run/play.

My Abby is 10.2 pounds as of Wed, and my Taylor is 15 pounds. I don't think either of them are over or under weight. You have to realize that Heath may not be FULLY done growing for about another month yet, and then after that, what I said above is how he should look. There's no particular "one size fits all" for ratties, 'cause they're all so different.

I believe Pokey maybe just barely hit 6 pounds? (Correct me if I'm wrong!) and then some people's Deckers can get up to the high 30s? So really, you just have to look at the dog and judge by appearance. You could post a side picture of Heath too, if you like, and we could probably tell you if he looks about right. =)

Your username always makes me do a double take.  My best friend since 2nd grade is named Karen and she is married to Heath.  They are who I inherited Venus from.  Venus is a crazy ratty she does not chew very much and is nervous about eating her food; this has improved slightly since she was treated for a worm she most likely picked up from the bark park and had a dental at the vet...we no longer hang out there!  Venus and Franklin say "Thank you" for the compliments.  Your lucky Heath is a ChewKing; it is bound to help his teeth in the long run!
