Hi all! I'm Heather, I am new to the rattie world but have had different dogs of every shape and size throughout my life. I am a sheriff's deputy and right now am working in the jails. I am a Sergeant in the Army Reserves but did 4 years active duty including 1 year in Iraq. I have been married to the love of my life now for 3 years but we've been together 9 1/2. We have two beautiful children, Mikey 2 1/2 yrs. "baby tornado" and Alexandria 6 mos. "baby diva". I live in MI and tomorrow will officially be adding Eddie to our family. I don't have any good recent pics of me but here is my favorite from my wedding....

Yeah, i'm a busy girl! Eddie is actually gonna be my bit of stress relief. It's sounds weird but I have no family (other than my hubby and kids) here, so I wanted my own dog to give me some me time  . I'll be taking him to obedience and hopefully agility school as well....

I understand what you mean - my kids are 19 and 15, but Daisy is "mine" and definitely has been a great stress reliever for me (and gives me something to "take care of" LOL) |

Well, I suppose I must start somewhere...
The first dog is Emma LaBeau (our Rattie wanna-be). She's probably 6 now (pound rescue). Then came Brandenberg, maybe 4..(another pound rescue). The "Caboose" as my husband calls her is Magpie, the Toy Rattie. Sh's almost 2 and the first pedigreed pet I've ever had.
Magpie has chronic tonsillitis and will have her tonsills removed this week. I'll keep you posted!

Magpie is not her real name..it's Maggie Bleu on her papers. However, she's earned the name Magpie since she won't be quiet. My husband says that if she was a child, she'd be telling tall "tails"!

My name is Jacinda and I have been a sahm for 13+ years following a near fatal accident. I am married to a handsome cowboy named Michael. We have 3 girls, ages 16, 10 and 8.
I have 2 ratties:
Sam 11 yrs old and Whitney apprx. 5.
We also have 2 German Shephards: Riley 11, and Looky 2.
They were all ""hand me downs".
Sam was in his last home for 4 years and then given away! Whitney was a roadside rescue, she had heartworms and fleas and also has bite scars from a dog attack. Riley was at a breeder who used her sister for a show dog and left Riley in a filthy pen for 11 months. I heard about her and adopted her for the bargain price of $250 and then spent $250 to treat her heartworms. Looky was struck by a truck in front our house and after searching for his owners, we adopted him. He was recently quarantined for an encounter with a skunk. No bite just precaution as he was current on his shots. I was sprayed that day, too. Not good.

Hi!
I was lurking here before I purchased my rat terrier so I could do some research and see some cute pictures!
Well I have one rat / fox terrier mix (he's 1/2 and 1/2) and he is 11 weeks old and weighs in at a whopping 3 1/2 pounds.
His name is Moose...and his big personality fits his larger than life name.
He is a cuddle bug which suprised me, but I am loving every minute of it.
I am a 21 year old student and preschool teacher. I love my job and all of my students. I am madly in love with my boyfriend Tom of two and half years, and Moose is just another addition to our wonderful life together.

Welcome!!! I don't think it's you...there's been problems with uploading pictures on the site recently. I tried to change my avatar today and it gives me an error. If you use photobucket, you can upload using the direct URL and pasting it into the little box that pulls up when you click on the little picture icon (the Inset/Edit Image one) on the "reply" screen. That's how I've been displaying my pics recently.

Hi, my name is Mia. This is my first time ever doing anything like this, so forgive me for my slowness. I'm 27 years old & live in Tennessee. I have one rattie, her legal name is Ella May. She's CKC registered. We call her Ella, Ellie or El. She's 13 & half months old. She weighs right under 10 pounds. So, I guess you can say she's a toy rattie. I love her to death. She is the most sweetest little dog... or should I say person. She thinks she's one of us. I don't tell her any difference. Right now she's in heat.  She's been in it for a little over a week now. I've been meaning to get her spayed before this, but everyone has been trying to talk me out of it. Everyone that knows her wants a puppy from her. Now that she's in heat, I'm definitely going to spay her when she gets out of it. It's such a mess. Plus, I don't want to ruin her body.
I've been trying for the past two days to put up pictures of her, but it won't let me. I don't know if it's me or if it's the site. All I get is ERROR. If anyone can help me. I would appreicate it. |

Thanks Amy for helping me out! I think I finally got it. I think it's the size that gave me the problems. This is the only picture that it would take. I really didn't want this picture. Ella was 3 1/2 months old when I took this. I hope you can see it. I'm going to have to take more pictures & hope they fit. |

Lives Melbourne Victoria, Soon to Be South Coast Of New South Wales (2 hours from sydney)
No children, no husband, single and I love it
Mum to two Mini Foxies Hilary a tri coloured female and Mali a tri coloured Male Hilary is almost ten months Mali is almost two.
My other love in life is german shepherd dogs.
I am 41 years of age and when I get some photos I will post some of me and the dogs.
Enjoys all things canine, shows, breeding, obedience etc.
We are about to move onto four acres and help out with dogs as a kennel maid etc three hours work a day. It is a live in position.
Thats about it for me.
Oh and I love and adore mini foxies.

I'm Jessica. I'm a twenty-four year old living in a sort of small town near Palm Springs in southern California. I live with my parents, my cockatiel, Coco and recently added this year 3.5 month rattie named Brownee. He apparently was the feisty one of the litter and he's full of energy but still a big sweetheart. |

Hi my name is Rhonda. My partner Brandie and I have just adopted an adult Rattie from an animal shelter. We have named her Cini, short for cinnamon. She is sweet little girl. She was taken to the shelter with a little of 5 puppies. We actually saw one of her puppies on the shelters website and fell in love with her. But when we went to the shelter all her puppies had been spoken for. They had several Ratties there and we looked at them all. Cini was so cute that we decided to take her home.
We are now in the process of training her and I am very thankful for all the info here on this great site.

I live in San Antonio, Tx sorry no pics yet still on my home computer, I will get some on here very soon.
Anyways my Rotten Rattie's name is Dixie, she is about 3 years old, we rescued her from an very, well let's just say a very bad animal shelter, ran by a very old lady who realy just took in strays, and tried to make a profit. Anyways she was in really bad shape, she had mange, and was very skinny, she had heart workms, etc., and really had no character to her at first. after some TLC and a few hundred$ later she is a very healthy fat and energetic rattie.
we also have a half breed painin the south end she's half lab and half border collie. named Alexis.
and we have 1 cat named Stormy, long story on how he got his name.
then we have 3 kidos ages 11,10, and 4.
my wife and I have been married going on 12 years, nope we weren't high school sweethearts. But it is our second married for the both of us.
I work in corporate security and my wife is in IT with the same company.
the things I enjoy the most in life is well the kids and fur kids. oh yeah and my wife. |
