Hi everyone!   I love this website and have posted very few times, but I am addicted to it.  I have learned so much from all of you guys and really appreciate it.  This is a link to pictures of my babies.  Mikey (5-1/2 yrs.) is tri-colored and Alice (7 mos.) is tuxedo.  Looking forward to sharing info and pictures with you!

I live in Georgia (north of Atlanta) and have been married for 34 years.  I have 2 sons and have had ratties since 1993.  My husband had 2 in the early 60's.  He is the one that got me interested in the breed.

Hi, everyone.  I registered on the site a few months ago, but I have just gotten up the courage to post.  I live in Tennessee, and have one son.  We have one rat terrier and seven golden retrievers.  Our rat terrier is named Orkin.  She is a standard sized ratter.  We thought she was the most unusual dog we had ever had till I found this website. We then realize she had lots in common with other rat terriers.  They are a wonderful breed.

We love her also.  Now I know that I can handle two dogs.  I cant wait unti she has her puppies.  I am so excited!!!  Here are some pictures of our family hope you enjoy!

Hi everyone. I just found this site and I'm so thrilled to find so many people who love Rat Terriers. Usually I find that people have never heard of them, which I just don't understand given that they are such wonderful dogs!

Here's my intro...

I'm Annie, and I live in Atlanta with my girlfriend/partner, Jamie. I'm a full-time nanny to a very sweet little boy and furmom to two great RTs. Winston is 3.5 years old and we love him so much that when we decided to get another puppy, there was no question about breed. Delilah is our brand-new puppy (10 weeks). So far she is adjusting well and Winston is tolerating her well, even though he's a little nervous/skittish. She's a ball of energy and he can only take her enthusiasm for so long before he escapes to somewhere she can't reach -- like the back of the couch.

Here are a few pictures. One of Jamie and I, and one each of the pups! I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and your dogs.

okay so this is me...real name ..Emily    always have been called Milly  (millifiora)

I have a rat terrier for the first time in my life...I have never had a dog smaller than me...

I have always been a manger of some food place...loved the fact that I was the only female cook at Hooters...I will never panty hose or sell me for money....love to flip wings and make food..

I have a 19 month old son...still shocked on this one...I am not meant to have kids...I told Jav when Caius was born...all I wanted was a puppy...

I never thought that I would be a breed snob...always enjoyed and loved mutts...Anyways adopted a doberman and have loved them ever since...

Lucky for Murry that someone called and said a doberman puppy was on the table with the pink juice...about to be put down....lucky for him and I am very lucky...I have Murry the rat terrier...my love and yep ratties and dobermans and the skin kid....loved of my life oh and cooking...

I've been a member here for quite a while now...but I never did this. I just joined in the convos and made myself at home. But here's me:
My name is Sandra. I'm 21 and I'm junior in college studying Elementary Education and Spanish. I have a wonderful boyfriend of 2 and half years who lives 120 miles away, as I am a full time student and he has a full time job. I have an all black rat terrier named Cyrus (as most already know), and he is my joy. We are virtually inseperable. He is perfect. We are so much alike, he doesn't even know he was adopted! (SHHH) Sometimes I forget myself! My boyfriend also has a black lab named Bubba. He and Cyrus look so much alike they could be brothers. But I have never met two dogs so different in personality! I love them both so much, yet so differently.

Hey Sandra! I drove right by the stadium down there last weekend on my way to the coast with Rowdy. Next time I plan something like that, we should see if we can get the dogs together for a little romp at a dog park! I don't know where they are down in that area, but it can't be that hard to find! And Rowdy always loves meeting other small dogs. I think it's a nice change for him after having to deal with Schatzi and Sam every day!

Just got done reading eveyone's profiles! That was fun! It's nice to put people faces to names as opposed to rattie faces!
Chrys- def. let me know the next time you're in town so we can meet up! That would be fun!
I think Cyrus gets tired of playing with the big dogs sometimes, too.

Dottie Girl lives in a north Georgia mountain community. She was rescued three Christmases ago by a friend who is on the board of a local humane society. Her adoption papers list his as a "pointer mix" but we've come to believe that she's 100% rat terrier (and this forum just helps prove it). She's 21 lbs and a bundle of personality.

My avatar is a squirre-watching shot--while the other is her on her dad's lap (just had to show off that cute face).

She is an only child and lives with Susan/Steve. We're both self-employed and her grandparents (Steve's parents) live next door. She's NEVER without attention!

Thanks

Yeah, when people come over to the house and see our babies, they can't believe they are all the same kind of dog. Most people think Ringo is a Min Pin because he is small and is black and tan. It is hard to convince them he is a rattie.

Hello everyone.  I am new to the site so thought I should go ahead and introduce myself.  My name is Bruce and I am from Charleston WV.  I am 32 years old, married, and work for as an engineering technician.  I have been bossed around by my rat terrier for a little over six years now.  Up until Friday I only had one, as of Friday I am  the proud owner of two of them.

Here is Alley.

Here is the new guy, Hughey.

Here they are playing on their first day together.

Here is a picture of me with my nephew.

Here is a picture of me doing what I do best, or at least what I spend as much time doing as possible.

Hi my name is Libby and my human friend who will be doing all the talking is Brenda. ok, her turn...

We became Libby's proud new owners when she was 4 months old. Libby just turned one. She is a rat / toy fox terrier mix. She has been the sweetest dog ever! Very obedient, smart and loving! Libby was a "backyard accident" Her former owners had saved her mother from an abusive situation and was told she was spayed. She surprised her owners with 3 sweet little girl puppies. There were 2 left when we chose Libby and we were so happy with her personality we debated going back for her sister. By the time we decided yes her sister had found a home.

congrats to Lori who is cocobean's new mother! we saw cocobean on ratbones rescue and thought she was soooo cute! we are looking for a friend for Libby and just put our application into ratbones rescue. i don't think i'd ever get any other kind of dog after finding Libby.
