For class, which do u guys like and look most effective? I need 9 these are just 2 so far. I just need to pick the best. I am gonna use one of the feet walking to the door not sure about the self portrait. I am gonna take pics of my friend tiffany in the graveyard at night sometime this weekend. I need to think of some new ideas.

| Oooh that is a good idea! I am gonna try that. They are long exposures. So take the the background for like 5 secondes and then have my boyfriend step into the frame for like 2 more secondes. So you can see thru him because he wasnt there long. got anymore ideas? I think I will do my mom in the mirror when she visits this weekend! |

very cool I used to try to mess around with long exposures like that... just was never good at it! I keep wanting to pull my camera out and dust it off just to experiment! It's an old school camera, Nikon N5. I love it though! an idea just popped in my head, don't know if it would work though or if its even possible.... but how about having someone in the shot, that would be real, like not the ghost. Sitting very very very still doing something like reading a book or eating (I don't know..), and then have someone walk, or stand in the frame real quick as the ghost? Or, if the above idea seems possible, something really freaky that always scares me by just thinking of it... have someone in bed sleeping, or sitting in a dimmly lit room watching tv, and have the ghost person outside looking in at them through a window! Ok, now I'm scared |

Oh that is a good idea! Yeah seriously think of all the scary ways u hope you dont see ghosts lol Like what u said my mom told me a story about her friend when she was 8 would wake up and a ghost would be sitting on her bed. That would be really cool to have someone sleeping and have a ghostly figure come in and sit at the foot of the bed.
Or in the mirror have a person stand still and have a ghostly figure come up behind them.
Was your Nikon all manual? I have a Nikon N80, it's pretty automatic tho lol It seem like u shoot so much more careful with film, it gets so darn expensive tho! |

yeah, film gets expensive! That's why that camera is dusty at the moment It's auto/manual. I haven't used it for fun in quite a while, I really should though. I got 4 rolls of free film from Kodak for doing a survey for them So I don't know what I'm waiting for! One freaky thing that I can think of was once I stayed in this haunted hotel, and the person behind the desk said don't get scared if you wake up in the middle of the night and have a little boy standing over you leaning down, face close to yours.. just looking at you. Yeah, I squeezed my eyes shut the entire night and didn't sleep a wink! another quick idea, might not be good but I'm just typing what pops in my head a hand touching something. Like an old photo, or going to pet a rattie! Geez, that might be hard to get a rattie to sit still... Back to the old photo, maybe a ghost reaching towards a mantle of old photos that they were once in? |

I really like the idea of the ghost on the bed. But I would think that maybe it might make the bed look kind of funny if they were sitting on it with their weight. What about if they are at the foot of the bed looking at the person? I think if you are trying to go for a ghost you need to make that person wear something really creepy.... however if you may want to try for an angel, what if they were wearing all white? Just an idea. Or if you have a person sitting at a table or watching tv and a "ghost" touching them on the shoulder? |

These are all really good ideas, thanks for all the feedback! I will try a few of these and post my results and see what I can get. Lighting is my only issue cuz I need some kind of light but not much, Maybe candle light would be good. Ya I agree like a long white night gown would look cool for a woman sitting by the bed. Kim, that is scary! I had a similar experience when I was a little kid. My dad got us a room in this bed and breakfast and my dad joking asked about the ghosts and the woman was too honest. Lets just say our family of 4 slept in 1 bed that night terrfieid lol |
