I just made this for a Golden Retriever named TEDDYBEAR, but I can't decide if I like it. It's made with Jasper and Turquoise and has his name (which they wanted) and little teddy bear beads spaced in between. What do you all think? I know this is the place to come for opinions! |

| I definitely like the necklace but how is it going to show through all the hair? |

| It won't show up that well, even though I used fairly large beads. That is the problem with longer hair dogs and bling! |

Thanks y'all - but something just doesn't seem right --- maybe I need flat little silver spacers between the jasper? I don't know -- ????? |

I like it the way it is.... The only thing I noticed (which I think I'm looking at it the right way, but I could be wrong), is that the teddy bears will be upside down. If the name "TEDDY BEAR" is on the dogs chest then the bear spacers will be standing on their head leading up the the clasp....does that make sense? I'm having to think too much...I have a headache. Either way, it doesn't really matter....I think it's pretty how you have it. |

Nevermind, I guess it depends on how the necklace is twisted, because if the name is on the back of the dogs neck, like in the picture...it would be right. I always put Bella's necklace's on like a person, with the clasp in the back and the main part on her chest. |

It's beautiful... but you are right that bling doesn't show up as well on dogs with longer hair. I made necklaces for two goldens a few months ago, and used 10mm beads. I can't tell from the picture what size you used... but the 10mm beads actually showed up fairly well, and is what I always use if a dog has long hair. I also used fairly large charms (1-1/2 inch in diameter) and added tags with names/phone #s because she wanted both a charm and a tag on both necklaces. When I made them, I thought it might be too much, but they actually looked very pretty and showed up well.
One was black with sterling spaces.... one was turqoise with sterling spacers... but the charms/tags were identical (except for wording of course) for both dogs, as they were litter mates.
Actually, those were the last I've made. Just don't have time anymore, but will do one occasionally for a friend or my own dogs. My own dogs have more bling than I do. LOL |

| Nora, the large beads are 10 mm -- the person wanted the teddy bear beads and so they are smaller and I used smaller turquoise to transition to those. |

I know what you mean tho. Sometimes when I do stuff, I look back at it and go...well.?... I think that is our own critical eye. |

Yes, Morgan, I usually make them with the clasp and tag in the front. They tend to want to hang that way because of the weight of the tag and clasp. I know what you mean about thinking too much. I do that too!
