Ok, so you plan you plan you plan, you do you do you do and then what happens? The guest of honor stays after work and dismantles his transmission instead of coming home... All the guests arrive early to hide out and await said honored guest and sweat in their costumes and get fidgety as they watch the cheese trays melt... LOL Aaron was only 2.5 hours late. (This is why I told my daughter to let Aaron's dad in on the surprise, he would have seen to it that his son came home! LOL live and learn little girl!)

Oh well, we had fun anyway. Got some great pics but not a single one of the birthday boy. It got dark on us and my camera is a hunk of junk. The second the light starts to fade the camera provides trails... LOTS of trails, to the point where the pics become unuseable unless of course you happen to be looking for a psychadelic effect?!

So here ya go, a couple of good pics, a couple where Josh was obsessing over the food and naturally, the best pics are of the animals. Riley, Jelly's new kitten didn't want a toga but he sure did enjoy all of my plants. I go back to get all my stuff today but I'm thinking Riley needs his own houseplant so I think I'll leave one for him. He was just ferocious and absolutely adoreable lurking behind the greenery.

Pretty cute too, we were all hiding and waiting for Aaron to come in the door. All but Shiloh who went out to greet Aaron. Barking her fool head off. I heard him say hi Shiloh, you look weird, why are you wearing a towel?? Then he came in and we all hopped out and yelled surprise and he looked at us all like we'd lost our minds and then immediately said Thanks!! Where's my costume? LOL

I wasn't able to get any of Aaron in his toga but here's one of Jelly and Aaron together. (This isn't my favorite of pics, this was done by a freind of the family that hasn't yet learned not to over compensate with the brush tool... He took out ALL blemishes in my opinion, leaving them both with less character in their faces, but he's trying and learning his trade. He has a good eye for the camera and in time I'm sure will become an excellent photographer.) Anyway, better that you see Aaron than to have you thinking she's dating her baby brother! LOL

I'm so partied out! LOL we have birthdays from the first week of june til the last week of september and then have a break until right before christmas. I swear everybody in this family was a summer baby, all except Josh who was born December 15th. So during the warm months we do this crazy stuff to compensate for the fact that we have no money... lol I'm sure you know how that is though, when the kids were little all the friends had a party at chuck e cheese or the big expensive fun places like amuzement parks and such. Here I was, 4 kids, no money and wanting like every mom, to do all she could for her kids. This is what we came up with. The kids use to love it but I think they're done. We've had luaus, cinco dey mayo, st. paddy's day, halloween in odd months, pirated everyone half to death (Jelly and I could be pirates every day happily...) the toga thing, and she's still rarin' to go... They all love us and put up with it but hubby last night said, "You know, I let you two dress me up like an idiot an awful lot, but I'm beginning to want to protest... This costume is poofy, I don't like poofy..."

I think we need to be done for a while and yet we have three more birthdays to go, my Dad's, mine and jelly's. She's already talking about a joint party for her and my birthdays with a renassiance theme... Inwardly I'm groaning. What I'd like is a six pack of beer in the sunshine and my fishing pole in hand, my dog at my side and a sketch pad in case the fishing isn't any good!

This isn't a very flattering picture of me, but really good of the deer LOL this is more along the lines of what I'd like to do though. Ya'll are friends, please forgive my lack of posture, mismatched clothes etc. etc.  A real picture... A happy place
