Yes, she loved her lessons and camp. She had a sleepover last night in the barn and has talked non stop since I got her.  She is going to do trail rides for the rest of the summer then will do lessons again in the fall. I love that she loves this...

Shannon, I'm so glad you posted these. I was thinking of your daughter yesterday and wondering about the horse riding, as I hadn't seen any pictures. I was hoping she was still at it and enjoying it. (I may have missed it if you'd posted something earlier). Anyway, I know she had a blast and I'm a little jealous about the sleepover in the barn.  |

Shannon, what a great time your daughter had and you are right that place is gorgeous. Where is it?
I'm glad she will get to do trail rides. Hope your ouches are better too! Do you take Mario to the stable where your daughter rides? Back in Hawaii, an auntie of mine owns a 90 acre stable and I would house and puppy sit for her and several of her friends and another auntie.
I would take Aunt Bebe's truck with the bed cover and go pick up everyone. I would have 2 Lab mixes, 2 full blood labs, a border collie mix, a JRT, a Corgi, and a Golden who was the oldest of the group!
We would get to the stables and they would fly out of the back of the truck after waiting as patiently as they could for the out command and then we had a blast. Either me riding and them following or me and them walking it didn't matter. The JRT was hysterical, he had to run twice as hard as all the big boys/girls to keep up but he never got left behind.
Aunt Jeanie's two lab mixes were the worst for leaping head long into the muck pile and rolling around like crazy. Of course we then did major washing at the stable and immediately got back in the truck before the pile called them again!!
I'm glad your daughter is having such a good experience with horses.

Wow, Cheryl!! Yes, I have brought Mario with me to the ranch. He goes crazy over the horses!! We laugh and say, "Mario, look at all of those BIG doggies!!" He barks and whines and gets so excited!!
This place is only 10 minutes from my house. The family who owns this ranch also owns the majority of this town we live in. They are great people and offer camps and lessons all year long. Kailey will be back next week for trail rides... I'm even getting the itch to ride again.... |

How fun, you're daughter looks so happy. Mario and the big doggies, that's too cute.
We tell Ernie that the black and white cows we see along the road are his family. I think he looks over and says "yikkes" I must have been the runt in the family. LOL!!! |

Nice pics!! Keep her at it if she enjoys it. My family has always had horses at one time or another. My cousin Stacey is a trainer here in New Jersey and has put out some very fine race horses. |
