Aren't y'all sweet! When I see the pictures, all I can think about is how I wish I could erase 20 years from my face and 20 pounds (or more) from my body. This shorter hair is faster and easier to style. I put some goop in it and just blow dry the top/front part a little bit and go.

I wish a little "goop" was all it took to make my hair look decent!

Thanks for all the kind comments. I've finally accepted the fact that I'll never have long, straight hair. The color in the pictures looks more red that it does in real life.

Pam, your hair looks great, as do you. You are being too hard on yourself. Thing is, we will never be 21 again - you are absolutely a lovely lady -- with beautiful eyes and a beautiful complexion (creamy), so why do you want to erase 20 years!

This just happens to be a good day as far as my complexion.    I still get zits occasionally.  Since hubby got the motorcycle, I've also gotten some sun damage on my face.  But I made sure to put the full complement of war paint on this morning before hubby took my picture.

Pam, your hair looks beautiful and I agree, you have gorgeous skin! Also, what you've done with your makeup compliments your hair color. You look wonderful! I'm with you opinion-wise though, I too wish I could take years and pounds off. (or at lease re-distribute the weight... getting older sucks!) Count your blessings dear, at least your skin is nice and clear. I'm in my 40's and still haven't managed to get past the pre-teen acne phase I'm probably the only female I know that looks forward to menopause... in the hopes that finally, finally my stupid skin will clear up. Only thing that helps me at all is tons of sunshine and that's not good for me in other ways... Wanna trade on the hair? Mine is to the middle of my back, basic brown and baby fine. (That lovely refuse to do anything but look like a mess kind of hair) Thank goodness for pony tail holders! I got into cosmetology because my hair has always been hard to do anything with. After years of trying, I've finally decided to be thankful that I have hair... I have a lumpy head and would make a really awful looking bald person! LOL

Well said!  When I went through chemotherapy 13 yrs ago I said if I could just keep my hair, I'd never have another bad hair day.  Well, I lost some of it, but was able to hold on to enough to manage -- and I have not had a bad hair day since!

My mom's hair is thinning a lot with age and her thyroid problems. I've told her she should buy herself a red wig!

I like it- really plays up your eyes! My hair always looks redder in pics, too.

Isn't fighting zits AND wrinkles such a blast I think my bathroom has the whole skincare aisle form Walgreen's.
On the zit front I'm having good success with Nutrogena Rapid Clear 2% salicylic acid gel.

Thanks for all the nice comments! Sarah, I joke that the zits keep me young looking. It's a delicate balance to dry up the zits while still moisturizing the rest of your face.

This style really does make your beautiful eyes "pop" and the color is very complimentary to the color of your eyes and skin.
I have naturally wavy/curly hair too, and I also have given up on it ever looking long and straight. I don't fight it anymore. (It was always a battle I'd lose anyhow!)The funny thing is so many people love my curls and wish their hair did that, don't you find that is true? We always want what we don't have!
I know we'd all like to look young forever, me included, but I have to say that I really appreciate people looking normal, not all surgeried up like the movie stars, most of them look weird and scary, and not normal. How many 60 y.o.'s look like Sally Field for gosh sakes? Gidget in a time warp.
You look fabulous~Enjoy it!
