Oh how terrible. I don't know how anyone can handle this. I'm so sorry for your parents and the town.
I hope they get some help and can recover from this tragedy. Thoughts are with your family. |

| Thanks guys. The water is gone now, but they still can't go in. The National Guard are there and are told to arrest anyone trying to get into the homes until they are inspected. It just makes me sick over this whole thing. I'm an hour away, and just cannot get away to go up there. I can guarantee that every day I have off work will be spent up there helping them clean. More pictures as the cleaning starts and we can get into the house. |

just heard this:
The Iowa Department of Transportation is making preparations to close the east- and westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in eastern Iowa.
The closure is tentatively scheduled for Friday afternoon, June 13. The roadway is expected to remain closed for approximately two to three days. The closure is flooding related.
Regional and coast-to-coast commercial motor vehicle operators that do not need to make a stop in Iowa should consider a route that avoids the state.
so avoid Iowa. unless you live here like we do...... |
