In the wind? I guess the moral of the story is, be careful how hard you play pretend! It got cold and windy on us just in time to set up the decor... Figures huh? We endured in sweaters but it sure doesn't feel like a California summer should, more like proper English Garden weather! (Serves me right for saying, ohhhhh let's throw an english tea party!)
Now I fully understand the 16 layers of clothing, top hats, tails and all the rest!
After tea, we all huddled in the livingroom floor on blankets, impromptu picnic inside! At any rate, Ross was thrilled and delighted with his High Tea and gifts.
Ross and I share a love for history and I was very happy to be able to present him with a commemorative collection of civil war currency. His eyes nearly popped out of his head. hehe
We served crab salad, potato salad, chicken salad, cucumber sandwiches, egg salad sandwiches, boston cheese cake, russian tea cakes, powdered chocolate cookies and a dainty pink birthday cake complete with tea roses and of course, TEA! Yet another goofy party for another goofy kid!
