Sounds like he is doing the right thing! Many "bully breed" breeders do.
I find it ironic that bully breeds are often accused of being dangerous just because of their breed. Yes, some dog breeds are more aggressive than others, but pit bulls are perhaps one of the sweetest breed around.
In fact, there is a group that performs temperment tests on different breeds. Here are the results for Dec 2003 to Dec 2005:
The American Temperament Test Society has a standardized test aimed at determining the temperament of any breed of dog. They have been testing dogs since 1977. 25,655 dogs were tested between December 2003 and December 2005. If a dog passes the test it’s given a ‘TT’ designation. An average of 81.2% of all dogs have passed this test. How do the different breeds compare? You might be surprised!
