I don't buy much "bling" for myself (nor really ask/expect others to, either) BUT I had to get this bracelet. A friends Relay For Life team made and sold them for the American Cancer Society Plus it's beautiful - more so than my picture taking skills show.

It's beautiful...what a great idea to use all the colors that represent different types of cancer!

Kacie: No, I'm sorry. It's just something their "team" did for a fundraiser locally by selling them to friends/family/co-workers, etc.

A couple of years ago my Mom's Uncle "Bunny" died after a fifteen year battle with cancer. His daughters started making bracelets with real gems and sterling silver. Each bracelet had a bunny charm hanging from the clasp. They gave ALL proceeds of sales to The Dana Farber Institute. They didn't even keep costs of supplies. Just months after he passed, my Memere lost her battle to cancer as well. I bought a "Bunny" bracelet for myself and each of my girls. I feel close to my Memere everytime I wear it.
