This is our old dog Mickey, he's a 10 year old golden retriever. He is obsessed with Alexandria. He is always close by her and dotes over her something fierce now that she started crawling. You can see in the some of the pics how he got up and stood in front of her while I tried to take pics. He is so gentle with her  ! Notice the nasty doggy "baby" that's been dropped in her lap

Thanks for the comments! He really is a sweet boy He and Eddie are best buds too. Mickey has been much happier since we brought Eddie home. We "inherited" Mickey form my FIL after he moved to a condo and couldn't keep him. That is tough on a 10 year old dog, he was depressed for a while  . He's much better now!

My FIL comes over to visit every week. I think it's the potato chips and popcorn that Mickey misses most lol! He's overweight so I have him on a strict no people food diet so he doesn't like me too much he, he

| I've heard older female dogs often do this. I think it's cute your male is doing it! How sweet! Retrievers are very protective of their people when in danger, so this, I would think, is a GOOD thing. |
