More eggs were added to the house finch nest on my front door while I was in Atlanta.  Brings the total to 5!  Caught a picture of Mama and Daddy tending nest (quality is not great, as it was taken through the glass door), but thought it was worth sharing.  I can't wait for babies!

I had a Carolina Wren nesting in our wreath one year.  How fortunate you are to have a glass door to see them!  Keep us posted!

Yeah, your lucky to be able to see them. The nest of three cardinal babies in my patio basket is so close to the patio roof, I have to get up on a chair with a compact mirror to see them! I think I liked it better last year when the nest was at head height in my patio crepe myrtle tree. LOL  I get to watch Mom & Pop feeding them all day long, though.  Tey're just squealing away at mealtime, now.

Plus, I have to figure out a way to pad the table under the basket so they don't commit hari-cari on my patio tabletop when they get booted out of the nest for their first flying lesson. It's a lot harder than grassy turf and soil. LOL The fall will kill them! Think I'm gonna lay a big round doggie bed cushion I have on the table (since the girls aren't sleeping on them so much these days) and hold it down with some bungee cords underneath. Maybe then the fall on down to the patio concrete below will be "survivable".
