Since the subject has come up concerning bathroom trash cans and how to keep dogs out of the trash... I thought I'd post a picture of my bathroom trashcan with a lid.

Anyone know what it is?

Nice porcelain potty...

Good job, Mari !!  Obviously you've been around the block a time or two!!

I use it as a wastebasket... but it's an old "slop jar"... and is a nice conversation piece in my bathroom. LOL (and it keeps the dogs out of the trash too!)

Picked it up at a garage sale maybe 20 years ago for 25 cents! LOL

I've been offered good money for it, actually... because it's rare to find them with the lids. Most don't have the lids anymore.

I'm too late but I knew it was a "slop jar". I remember when I was young my grandmother had one. I haven't saw one in years. Wish I had it now.

When people ask me how my house is decorated... I say "early attic". haha Most of what I have in my home are old pieces I've either inherited or picked up at salvage places and refinished myself. But the beauty of it is... old stuff never goes out of style... ya know?
I've used an outhouse before too... and have been attacked a time or two by my grandmother's old rooster on the way to it or from it. NOT FUN !

Clawfoot are back but the cost is up there,,,if I would ever do my bath again I would save for that for sure,,,,,

Sarah I would have told her I save my inches for a week to soak...
