This is just too beautiful not to share.

It does not happen very often...he looks like a giant snowflake.

Oh, he is absolutely stunning!!

When you own a Rattie....you KNOW you are in your right mind

THE MEANING OF RESCUE

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.
Hmm... Yes there it is, right on the top
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things -
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?

We had several peafowl when we first moved out to the property we are living on now. Not albinos but Black Shoulder's and India Blue's. We were not successful at raising ANY chicks as they tend to succomb to disease very easily. It is really something to come into your driveway and have 2 peacocks competing with the reflections they made on your cars. They shed the tail every fall and grow a new one in the spring. Very interesting birds they are.

WOW, he is gorgeous, I've never ever seen one like him.  Our neighbors have peacocks...but only normal looking ones.

Oh how BEAUTIFUL!! My Daddy & my Aunt use to have a Peacock when they were children. I think he has pics. I'll have to get them next time I'm at his house and bring them here and scan them to my 'puter and post them. Theirs wasn;t an albino peacock though.

There was a peacock in the neighborhood when I was a kid...he'd actually roost on the railing outside the back door most nights. He wasn't even scared of my dogs...I had a lab mix and a springer spaniel back then...hardly vicious attack dogs. A neighbor got sick of it being around and "got rid of it." A few years ago, 2 more appeared and hung around for awhile. I think they are gorgeous birds whether they are normal colored or albino like this one.
