That pic of you and your nephew is so cute! I like the red butterfly on purple. Great color contrast.
James and I went to the butterfly house at the Portland Zoo this past summer and it was really cool! We got tons of really great butterfly pictures. Fortunately, James took the pictures- he's waaaaayyyy better at that than I am! It was cool to try to get them to land on you.
I think we have something like 15 photos of these things... I was surprised by how much James liked it- it's not his normal "thing", but they really are a lot of fun. |

Haha, yeah, I know...one landed on my forehead! I was kind of bummed because I only took my crappy camera, I didn't feel like caring around my big camera, but when we got in there everyone had these big fancy camera's, haha. Oh well. At least next time I'll know to take my nice camera so I can get better pictures. The pictures you got are awesome!

| beautiful pics! Ive only been to a butterfly house once and it was with 15 screaming preschoolers and i only had a disposable camera! LOL....great pics ladies! |

Your pictures look great.....they do this annually at the Phoenix Zoo.....they have a huge netted tented area and hundreds of butterflies.....way way cool..... It was funny when we went the kids soooo wanted the butterflies to land on them.....but you know kids just don't stand still and get excited if one comes near them thinking it will land......well, the butterlies only seemed to land on the adults of our group.....it was driving the kids crazy..... We got some cool pictures too......really loved it.....thanks for sharing your pictures....they are great....

I was able to visit the Butterfly House at Callaway Gardens in GA about 2 years ago. I was absolutely enchanted! I could have stayed in there ALL day! And of course I had a crappy camera that didn't take very good pictures. I had a butterfly land in the palm of my hand and then flutter off. It was awesome!
