Here's the blankets I've knitted recently for those who were following the knitters out there thread. Also, if anyone's interested, i'd be willing to sell them.

35 shipped (within the US), or best offer. I can do more custom ones (colors) if you have time to wait.

I love the colors of the first one, it almost looks like crochet. They look great. Are either one of those like the baby blanket patterns you sent me? Stitch wise?? BTW, thank you!

Vicki, those are both the patterns I sent you. The first one is called Angel Baby, the second one is called Carriage Robe. I thought you'd like to see them.

The second one looks a little easier. Do you continue to use two strands throughout the whole process?
Is that yarn really soft? It looks like it. Love the varigated. I'll have to check out the type of yarn you mention in the pattern. Thanks for showing these. Your wonderful.

They're both really soft. Yes, i use 2 strands all the way through. the second one is slightly easier, but neither are very hard. I highly recommend the baby sport econo for the second one, it's easy to find and very soft.

They are beautiful! Can you make doggie sweaters? I bought a couple knitting books of dog sweaters but could never get the hang of it.

Oh, I love the 2nd one. I can crochet a little bit...just the basics. Knitting always looked so much more difficult...I'm not that coordinated, haha.

I've never tried a doggie sweater, or anything with arm holes. Last night I tried some socks, but couldn't get the hang of it.

Very pretty.  The first one does look more like crochet.  But "yarn overs" can produce that lacy effect.  I used to have a real easy lacy v-shaped knitting pattern like that but lost it over the years.  Sorry.  I looked for it when you first asked for patterns but it was long lost.

I got in the mood to make a new one this year to go with my new rug and wall paint in the den.  Here's a pic of mine.  I make them kinda oversized so there's room for me and a dog on each side.

That's beautiful Peggy. I love the colors. I'm a big fan of browns and blues together.

Thanks Morgan.  It's all single crochet done in that super-soft chenille yarn.

Bethann, I'll see if I can "reconstruct on paper" that pattern for you from the one I made my Mom years ago. Next time I run down to San Antonio (not sure right now when that will be, but most likely Feb. or March to help her do her income tax) I'll try to remember to pull it down off the shelf and visually walk through it and jot the pattern down.  If I remember my digital camera, I'll even take a pic of hers so you can see what the finished thing looks like.  She used it a lot in their house before they retired, but she never uses it anymore in her apartment for some reason.  Getting weird in her old age.

It was a REAL EASY pattern (my 1st ever knitting project) and I made 4-5 of them. The pairs of lacey hole yarn-overs were at the ends of what looked like a 5" wide cable stitch V. So easy, as it was nothing but knit, and yarn overs, done in 7" wide strips (around 30-35 stitches wide if I remember right) to desired length and you just crocheted the knitted strips together as big as you wanted.  The overall effect once all pieced together was lacy holes running down it every 7" parallel with the color strips.   Looked best in all one color but not bad in alternating color strips, too. Looked good on BOTH front and back sides, which is not always the case with some patterns.  I just hope I can remember to do it next time down to Mom's place.

Peggy, that would be awesome. I started a pattern last week, but after putting about 5-6 hours into it I wasn't happy with it and pulled the whole thing out. So in the meantime, i'm still looking. I am knitting dish clothes in various colors while i try to find a good blanket pattern. If anyone needs dishclothes, let me know, i've got plenty lately.

Do you take your dishcloths to the craft show? Ya know that is what you are suppose to wash your china with? At the craft shows here in PA they run about $3 a pop.

They look great! I grew up with my mom knitting all the time, mostly sweaters for me. She tried to teach me how to knit, but since I'm left handed and she's right handed, it was kinda hard, and I never got the hang of it. But I found a book about needle craft and taught myself how to crochet. This fall I made a huge throw blanket with "homespun" yarn that I put on my bed every night...I don't want the ratties to wreck it so I fold it up every morning. Molly loves it. Every time she sees it, she comes running. Right now I am making a sweater (my first wearable), and I think it's turning out well, at least so far.

I haven't taken any dish clothes to a craft show, but I might have to do that some time. Thanks for the advice.
