Oh yes!!! That definitely looks like chicken pox. They should multiply by morning. But if he had the shot it should not be too bad luck you.

Yeah, my mom did that to me too. I was exposed more times than you can imagine. And that was before the time of the shot. When I was in junior high I did get the shot. I would be highly suprised if I ever got them, no matter how exposed to them I am.

Yup poxes...but everyone has them they lay dormant and as you get older  you may get shingles.you may even get shingles even if you have had pox...My step grandmother and stepfather both had them later in life and they both had pox......Everyone in my huge family and friends all have had pox except me....so now as I wait and get older and older hoping they do not come out as shingles b/c that can be good or bad....

Poor baby. I hope he feels okay. they shouldn't be too bad if he was vaccinated. they have decided that a booster is needed now for those who have only had 1 shot and never got chicken pox, so the good news? He shouldn't have to get a booster now! I had them when I was a kid thank goodness, chicken pox gets way worse as you get older. Not something I would want as an adult!

I just posted under the Saturday post in Just Chat. Evidently this was NOT a case of Chicken Pox, because all of the bumps have gone in as of this morning. I don't see any of them, not even the clearest one under his arm. I can't for the life of me figure out what he had, but it's just not there today. I'm wondering if it was nerves from yesterday's field trip to see Santa and sing at the nursing home or if he got into something that he is allergic too (so far he's never been allergic to anything, but I guess anything is possible)

Glad he didn't have chicken pox, I myself have never had them but my oldest had them at about 8 and he had them so bad. I thought I would get them then but I didn't. At 49, I hope I don't get them now.

Oh wow Brandy, I can't believe that! LOL But that is GOOD!!!! You don't want him to get it now just before Christmas. I wonder if it was his nerves??? I guess that could be possible. Poor little guy!!

If you had washed clothes and all the soap did not get rinsed out he could get spots like that from a reaction from something as well.

was he wearing new clothes brandy? something that you hadn't gotten a chance to launder yet? I'm allergic to some clothes dyes and that's exactly the kind of rash I get. It's worse if you're all bundled up and sweat. If he was performing in a sweater or something he's never had on before, it could simply be a reaction to clothes dye. Glad it's not the pox! I had the shot, and have had the pox twice. For whatever reason, I'm really susceptible to them, oh lucky me!

I got the chicken pox twice... first i got it and missed 5 days of school then my little brother got it, then my twin sisters got it (my poor parents) then I got it again. The first round I had one on my eyeball. That sucked big time.
Adam needs the chicken pox.

My sister is 25 and never had the chicken pox. I did when I was like 2 and she didnt get it from me. Some people just have an immunity to them.

He wasn't wearing anything new and I have used the same kind of laundry detergent for the last 9 yrs (Austin is allergic to nearly every detergent out there...except Tide for some reason) I have no clue what it was. Maybe it's just a nervous thing...who knows...that is one weird little kid when it comes to medical stuff. (once when he was a baby his lips were blue for like three days...We went back and forth to the Dr's office and had oxygen levels checked, his heart was checked...you name it, they checked it. He was well bundled so he wasn't cold...then it just went away....**Sigh** I give up wondering about him anymore!!!)

Brandy - it was probably those blue popcicles you were feeding him.......duh

My youngest is the one who gets sick the most in our family. This was the first year she didn't get bronchitis on halloween night. She goes as far as being fine when we head out, and starts having trouble breathing while trick or treating!

Glad his bumps are gone!
