I made these cupcakes tonight for my husband to take to work tomorrow. Talk about a LOT of work - these things took FOREVER to decorate!!! I'm also making them for the Halloween Party my family is having for all of the kids on Monday. What do you guys think? Do they look good enough to eat? (This is my 1st attempt at making something like this...EVER...so be gentle!) |

Great job! What are the bodies made out of?
They're just chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting. Then chocolate sprinkles on top. Marshmellows cut in hald for the eyes and M&M's held on the marshmellows with some of the frosting. I used a toothpick to poke the holes for the licorice lace legs! Easy - just takes a WHILE to decorate all 24 of them!!!

Great job! If the cupcakes get to be too much for the party, you can always do the worms in dirt pudding cups.

One question, How did you get the legs in? do you put toothpicks in the the licorice through them or the licorice right into the cupcakes? |

You just put the toothpicks in and spin them around a little to make the hole wide enough for the licorice laces. :-) Good Luck - set aside some time - they take a WHILE to decorate - but it's fun and they're neat. :-) |

| Boy, you went to waaaaay more trouble than I would have. Guys will eat anything! You could have stopped with the sprinkles and they'd have loved them just as much, girl. You did a really nice job on them, though. They look really scrumptious and I'm not even much of a sweets eater. |
