Hi, 

I'm Judy and I read all about Rat Terriers on-line, so when I brought my little spotted guy home 7 years ago naturally I felt the only possible name for him was Spot.com.  "Home" is a golfing community between Dallas and Ft. Worth which Spot and I share with a 12 yr old Collie, Foxy, and my husband, Frank.

So, Spot.com is pretty happy. We love him and he loves us. He sits in my lap and watches TV with me until he farts and I have to put my nose inside my shirt or die. He also likes to dance on his hid legs a lot which is cute as can be. He's got a pretty cushy life and pretty much rules the roost. He only gets stressed when it thunders, then he shakes and gets under the desk.

I happened on this site and thot I'd ask other Rat Terrier owners if their Ratties all shed like crazy - we had to toss out our cloth sofa due to dog hair which seems to hook on and never let go - it was like a doghair sofa! Our Vet says Spot.com is pretty healthy (couple lbs. overweight) and suggested I brush him several times a day - doesn't really help. If I'm wearing dark slacks and he gets in my lap I have this "dog shaped" ring of hair on me which has to be removed one hair at a time! What is up with that????

Anyway, I love looking at eveyrone's pix, especially the B&W Ratties like Spot. I'll attach a pic of mine when I figure out how.

Hi everyone,not sure if anyone would remember me,I'm Gail & I used to pop in from time to time just over a year or so ago. I live in Savannah,GA.;46 yrs old. I did have a RT named-Dolly. I say-did,because til late friday night I still had her with me.  I sadly had to make the choice to put her to sleep. She was 12 yrs. & a few mths old. I buried her today. I miss her & will always miss her greatly.

I am Renee, wife to Kevin, mom to 2 human kids, Brenden will be 8 in Dec and Claire is 4 1/2. Hubby and I will be married 10 yrs in Nov! We also have Cooper (full or a Jack/Rat most likely) who we rescued in Jan 2008. He turned 1 yr in July. Our cat sammy is also a rescue and he is 4-5 yrs old. I am a stay at home mom here in Lancaster, Pa. I originally am a southerner as I grew up in S.C. I also have lived in Tn. I can't wait to look at the rest of the replies to hear about you all and see pictures! I Looooooooooove pictures!

my name is lizz and i joined because of my pilot. pilot is my baby girl who is 3 yrs and 4 months old. weve been together ever since she was two months old.

my mother and i bought pilot from strangers selling puppies on the side of a road..so it was almost by accident we found pilot. the papers that came with pilot said she was a teacup chihuahua. i believed she was a chihuahua until she was about 6 months old and people at dog parks started telling me she was rat terrier (which now makes me happy shes not a chihuahua)

pilot is a brat/princess but also a big lover. pilot is very tough and very protection of me and shes also a big fan of barking.

Hey there! My name is Corina and I am a new rattie mom. My husband and I just adopted a 4 year old rattie. His name is Sir Beethoven. This is my first dog and he is the best boy. I can't believe how well behaved he is and it seems like we've had him for years.  We also have two cats, Spike and Tootsie. The cats are adjusting but were a little freaked out when we brought Beethoven home. Any advice you guys have about ratties would be welcomed. I look forword to chatting with people.

As I've said before, I'm Mindi, and my little girl is Daisy. She's about 3 1/2 months old....not sure how big she's going to get. She was the smallest of all the dogs we chose from (and the cutest, if I do say so myself!). She weighs in at just about 4 pounds right now.

Hello everyone! My name is Corey and I come to you from Seattle, WA where I am anxiously awaiting the day I go and pick up my baby Stella...she is just about 4 1/2 weeks old and getting cuter by the minute.  Stella is the smallest of the litter and will likely mature to be a small mini size girl.  She is a blue bi or tri? maybe she has tan points and tan legs with a little white on her chest and paws.  I look forward to sharing my adventure into puppy life as I have never owned a puppy so young before.  A little about me...I am 26 years old living life in Seattle and working away and I can't wait to add little Stella into my and my partner's lives.  I think this is the best site ever as I have become completely obsessed with researching the breed....tips on training....looking for cute photos....etc...so I will chat with you all very soon! I'm new here. My name is Dani, 26, I live in a floating house in Portland, Oregon!

My girl Roxanne is the love of my life! I adopted her 2 years ago now and she is approximately 3 and half years old.

We just lost a good friend and family member, Jackson, he was a 13 year old Rotweiller. 

Roxy spends a lot of time with me. I work for a high end department store where I watch people all day to prevent internal and external loss.  When I am at work, Roxy gets to play with her Aunt Ally and her pup Cosmo or go to work at the Machine shop with Grandpa!

Hello Everyone, Im a new member from middle Georgia. My friend Kim told me about this site Sat. night and I love it. I am so glad she shared with me .  I am married to the best man in the world and I have 3 sons ages 22, 20 and 17.  We have 6 dogs. ( I know thats alot) Petey is the oldest 8.5 years and he is a JackRat.  He was a birthday present to my middle son.  It has been fun to watch them grow up togather.  We also have 2 Minature Dashunds a Poodle Mix a Yellow Lab and a RedBone Coon Hound. They are all spoiled rotten.  I am new at all of this and I am gonna do my best to figure out how to upload photos and videos so Ill probably have alot of questions. Im looking forward to sharing with all of you.
