Hi there and Welcome to the group!! 
Would have loved to have met you and your pup in Temple. I grew up in Round Rock and still have family there so after leaving Temple we went over to Old Settlers park and had a picnic with my Brother and his family.. that park would not be a bad place for a RT meet-up either. It has a nice lake, a larger covered picnic pavillion and walking trails plus a great play area for the human kids too. Maybe we can plan another meet-up in the fall when summer starts cooling off a bit.
