I am so ready for colder weather.  I know, where you live it gets really cold and bad, so you might not be.  But here it is in Kentucky, mid-October and it got up 85 degrees today.  We haven't had any rain in so long that everything looks dead and I fear we will lose some big, old trees by next year.  I want cooler, wetter weather.  I'm tired of hot, dry summer!

It was beautiful here all weekend high 70's...but we had the wet summer, my brother said the weather was dry there....(in KY) he just misses the weather here at times...

Oh, if you want a snuggly pup, Beauregard (aka Lightening) fills that bill.  He is the snuggliest dog I think I've ever had.  He loves to be held and is alway under my feet.  He wants to snuggle up around your neck, but no matter where he ends up, he's snuggled in tight.  He sleeps with me most nights, though some nights he does stay in his crate.  Me thinks Mommy Carol may have s-p-o-i-l-e-d him just a little.  Hee hee, and of course, I'm continuing on with that job.

Katie Scarlett seems to have mixed emotions about him.  I think at times she likes him, in spite of herself, but has displayed some jealousy too.  For instance, when she is playing with Dixie, she doesn't want Beauregard to join in -- like, "Dixie belongs to me!".  But, then she will play with Beau later.  I think as he gets bigger they will play more.  She loves to play 'keep away' with him and he is not the least bit shy about charging after her and trying to take away her ball or whatever.   She will lie on the sofa with him, but still keeps a certain amount of distance.  She has to be reassured that she is still the princess.  I tell her she is my most beautiful Rattie girl. . . I tell Dixie she is my most beautiful Labbie girl . . . and I tell Beau he is my most handsome Rattie boy.  Do you think I could go into politics?
