It is much easier with the x-pen. If they had free run of the house, I would be chasing them all over! |

Those puppies have it made. Look at all those toys! I can't believe they are tearing up their pee pad...mine better not do that! When they start messing with them I say No and move them away from it. That would just ruin my whole puppy den experience. With 7 puppies, the pee and poop are pretty constant now that they have real food in their bellies.
Note to self: Pray that they don't eat pee pads!
Also, Reni is smart to get on top of the crate. Tinkerbelle is starting to get crazy around the pups. She can't be near them without them all attacking her. It must hurt now that they have teeth because she does not want to lay down and nurse. Did Reni do that? She walks around trying to make them fall off her nipples, which of course makes them bite her to hang on. Poor babies, they just want a little sip! At what point were your puppies completely weaned? We are at 4 weeks now and I'm thinking Tinkerbelle is ready to give it up. I'm forcing her to nurse. She's been such a good Mama up till now. She still likes to stay close, but she would rather be outside of the x-pen. |

Weened? they are 8 weeks old, and still try to grab them, when she gets in. I think they are about done, though, because her boobies are smaller, and do not hang down very much any more. I think it is more of a pacifier for them now. She did the dragging puppies around for a while. When she was tired of them she started standing up, and jumping up on the crate, to escape. Maybe, you could show Tink, how to do that....The puppy pad thing is funny. They do not really tear it up, they just play tug o war, then leave it alone, and pee on it. They just have to break it in first.

Hehe, I would love to have to chase them all over the house and kiss their little heads. Adorableness... I don't want to clean up pee outside the pen though...LOL!!! |
