Tinkerbelle is within a week of delivery and I'm trying to get her used to her new pool....I mean bed!

1.  Does this make my belly look fat? 

2.  I can't lift my belly off the floor when i sit down!

We are all so excited!  Even the neighbors are dreaming about these puppies.  Everyone keeps checking on her...she's due next weekend, but we all think she could go at any time.  She is a big watermelon and looks so uncomfortable, but she still has spring in her step when I take her on short walks and she still gets excited when another dog comes by.  She's eating a lot right now which is quite a change from the rest of this pregnancy.  I'm still feeding her home made food, but I mix it in with a puppy food and she is eating both now.  Before, she would spit out the dog food!  That silly, picky girl.  I can't wait to see these babies...they kick and move around a lot. You can see them moving when she lays down, it's very cool and reminds me of being pregnant.  That was my favorite part, but I don't think it is Tinkerbelle's!

I swear I thought she was going into labor tonight, but I think it was a false alarm.  We had to go to my in-laws for my BIL's B-Day dinner, so I took her with me.  She was so uncomfortable in the car and started panting and acting weird.  Then while at their house, I picked her up in my lap and held her so that her belly was facing out.  I could tell she didn't like that position, so I let her lay down...then we she jumped out of my lap there was a little wet spot on my pants.  We all thought her water broke, but it was dry when I checked her.  I think the puppies must have sat on her bladder or something when I held her up and a little pee must of shot out on my leg.  That's all I can figure.  I used to sit her up like that all the time and rub her belly, but I could tell she didn't like it tonight.  Anyway, every one there freaked out and started acting like she was about to have a pup right there.  They also freaked at how I took a tissue and checked her vulva for any fluids.  I guess I"m pretty comfortable  with all the vet books I've read, but they thought I was about to stick my finger in or something.  Everyone cringed.  I had to laugh....i said she is approx 4cm and they looked at me with big eyes.

Anyway, it WILL be soon.  I sterilized all my stuff for the pups tonight, just in case!

That's so cute!! I bet she's ready to get the pups out already I love that pool. Where on earth did you get it? I want one for my skin kid!

Toys R Us for $6.99....Then I found a smaller one at Petsmart, but I didn't feel like bothering to take this one back.  It's a bit bigger than I wanted, but it will do the job and with 7 puppies, I might need the bigger size anyway!
