People always ask me if Bonnie and Chloe are twins or from the same litter, and  I don't mind because I LOVE telling the story of how Bonnie came to be part of our family!!  But, it kind of cracks me up when people ask me how I can tell them apart.  I guess to them they look exactly the same, but to me, they have many, many differences and I have no problem telling them apart. Here's some pics just to show the differences in their markings.

1 The girls at the amusement park on the river   Bonnie on the left, Chloe on the right.

2. Spots,  Bonnie in the back, Chloe on the right.

3.  Mmmm, whole wheat pasta salad with veggies is pretty dang tasty!  Bonnie on the right, Chloe on the left.

The biggest difference is their spots on their backs, the markings on the back of thier heads, and on Chloe's ears

They are both adorable! I still get asked about my two on how do I tell them apart. To me both of mine are completely different. I love both of their markings. Chloe's ear are so neat with the white on them.

I hope it's NON rat terrier people who ask. They do not look alike to me but I have seen a lot of ratties.

Honestly though, I went to a big dog show (the yearly eukanuba show) and we were watching the conformance part (I believe that is what it was called, where they judge the animal agaisnt the breed standard) and I said to my husband if all those dogs got lose I have no idea how the owners could tell their dogs from the ohters. They all looked EXACTLY alike to me.

I get the opposite...people CAN'T believe that my 2 are littermates (one is a black tri and the other is tan/white).

If you are only glancing at your dogs, then, maybe it's hard to tell them apart...but to be fair, they do have the same "look" - dark faces and a black spot at the base of the tail.

They are just adorable your girls!! People get Fred and Alice mixed up all the time too, it's so funny. I think they look nothing alike!! alice has a black marking above her tail but their body shapes are very differnt, they aren't even the same breed LOL>

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too
