Katie (brown) & Laci (cream) are 11 month old sisters born in foster home. We adopted them together. Dad is a long haired chihuahua. I think the mom is a chihuahua/rat terrier mix. I would like some opinions since I don't see rat terriers very often.

They've both got lots of chihuahua traits, as well as rattie traits. I don't "give a rat" (pardon the pun) what they are, though. They're precious!! Kudos to you for taking them in and giving them a good home!

Welcome! I can see some rattie in them...but definitely more chi than rattie. They are adorable no matter what they are. Aren't sisters fun?! I have a pair of rattie sisters (littermates).

We also have 2 chihuahuas Jenny (black&tan) & P-Nut (cream). We took the pic with all four in the dog bed two days after we got the little ones. They have gotten along great since then. The other pic they are a little older.

I agree, mostly chi, BUT what a pack of cuteness you have there! Absolutely adorable. And you're sure welcome here no matter what breed they are.

Oh My Goodness! How sweet and precious! Pnut is the spitting image of a Chi that belonged to my grandmother when I was a young girl, her name was Pixie. I loved that dog.
I also agree more chi than rat, but wow o wow they are all adorable! Thank you for taking in adopting foster pups!

These pics show how long Katie's legs are. We just love how her legs make her look so unique. Our vet couldn't believe they were littermates because they look so different. We felt we were lucky to adopt them both. They are both so wonderful with their different personalities. The foster family adopted the mother. There were also two boys who were adopted separately a few days later.

WELCOME! What a couple of cute puppies! The browner one sure has a lot of rattie qualities: crossed forelegs and the sleeping stiff-legged. LOL The blonder pup looks like it got a heavier dose of chi genes. I'd say this is a rat-chi mix litter, for sure.

All four of your pups are adorable! They might have a little rattie in them, but they can be honorary rats for sure.

Lacy (that's the blonde one right?) has almost a similar face to my darker Princess the big ears and slightly buggied eyes and stuff...it's definitely mixed with Chi though. But her ears scream Rattie to me...her eyes too, but I think Chi have those eyes too, though. I dunno, but they're so adorable!!! I just wanna hug the laptop just looking at them! So cute!

They are all adorable They defiantly could have some rattie in them! they are very sweet no mater what they are! Here is a pic of my little chihuahua Tia Maria. Ratties and chihuahuas are often mistaken for one another, I fostered a "rattie" that turned out to be a chihuahua, and I thought she was a rattie, but when the owner sent all her paperwork..everything including her cert. of pedigree said chihuahua! I asked the guy why he called us instead of chi rescue, and he said someone told him she was a rat terrier! Here is a pic of the chi that was "mistaken" for a rattie.

I was just typing up a pout pout pout for the broken links Get them up soonish! I'm sure we'd love to see.  I didn't know Princess was a rattie at first.  I didn't know what a Rattie was, really, until she came along (gasp!).  They're so smart   Didn't even realize chi were mistakened for ratties and vice versa, but i can definitely see your point now.  Can't wait for the pics!

Kate looks like she has more rattie features along with some chi, Lacey looks more chi, but if from same parents she would have rattie too. Whatever they are they are cute !
