And The Kong WON!!!!!
Oh my goodness! I finally broke down and got Amos a Kong today. I wish you could have seen him when I came home from Macon today. I had purchased several items for my daughter and had them in a bag on my bed to show her. Amos was circling the bed and jumping up on the side. He finally stuck his head in the bag on the bed and she said "What is HE doing???" I told her, "He's just like you! He's waiting to see what I brought him." So I had to give Amos his "prize" first. When my daughter saw it she said, "Oh, yeah, like that is gonna last all of 10 minutes!" To be honest I was a bit skeptical myself seeing as how he has been able to destroy everything else that I've given him except those petrified bones. So I put the little hard liver treat in it and he went to work!
He worked and he worked!
And he worked some more!
And the KONG is undefeated!
I bought the black Extreme Kong for wt 30-85 lbs.
It was worth it! He hasn't even gotten teeth marks in it!
After a long walk, he went back to work on it, but he just gave up!

Kongs are the only toy we have now. Our vet recommended only them for Sydney to chew on. We now have two medium Kongs and two big Kongs. Have the red not the black-- so far the red are with standing Sydney chewing. |

I can't stop laughing! I couldn't find a Kong here for Pixie, so I went to Wal-Mart and bought a pseudo-kong shaped like a fire hydrant. Apparently its pretty tough. Its got some scrapes in it, but its held up really well!! Pixie's nose is so small that she can usually worm out whatever I've jammed into the thing, though. Low-fat peanut butter is her fav |

Ya'll! He LOVES this thing! He took the Kong in his crate last night, he got up with it this morning. He wanted to take it out with him when he went to potty, but I made him leave it. He picked it up when he came back in and he's laying on the rug in the living room and has it right by his paw.
I finally found a GOOD toy! |

Kong toys are one of two toys that have survived Marley. (The other toy that survived is the Tractor Supply brand of tennis ball. He can destroy regular tennis balls in 5 min.) He takes one of his Kongs to bed with him every night. The Kong balls are good, too. The Kool Kong (the one that floats) is great for use in the water. He also loves his Kong frisbee.
Long live Kong! |

| Kim, if you stuff some sliced cheese up there, he will lick it for hours. That's Bob's pacifier and what we will give him when we need him to leave us alone to get something done. |

| I have found that the most entertaining thing to put in the Kong is a little cooked old fashioned oatmeal mixed with some Peanut butter and freeze it (usually overnight). Domino works so hard to get the stuff out of it that he gets tired and he no longer digs in the trash cans for something to do. Amos looks like Domino after a full day of playing hard.. Super cute... |

| Just be careful MB. Not sure about how yours are but nothing will start a fight faster than stuffed Kongs here so I crate them for that treat. |

| The Kong came with 1 Kong stuffer. It lasted until today. This evening I just filled it full of tiny dog biscuits. It didn't last too long(the filling anyway, the Kong is still intact) But poor Smooshy! He want's a Kong too! I'm going back to Macon tomorrow and I'm gonna get him one too. I'm really glad that I bought a Kong for Amos. Finally something that will stand up to HIM!!!!!! |

Those pics are great. I really don't 'get' the Kong...why dogs love them...they're an odd shape but everyone recommends them so I bought one for Dink and he seems to really like it. |
