We've been SO blessed with an abundance of rain this year... as compared to the awful draught we experienced last year.  The guy who rents our farm finished the first cutting of hay... and Bailey couldn't want to climb atop of the "elephant" bales.  Not sure how he developed an obsession for this -- but he is indeed obsessed with these hay bales.

Took some pictures ... of course... haha

Hi Mary! He jumps about halfway up.. then sinks his claws into the hay and climbs the rest of the way. (He has always been obsessed with doing this, and I have no clue why. It certainly wasn't anything I trained him to do). He likes being up high....always has. (He ain't right! LOL)

Nora,
I adore the photos of Bailey on hay bales. That boy can both jump and climb! I bet Ms. Taffy would love to try that. She is our jumper!

Hope your new room is coming along too. Tomorrow, we go back to trying to get the house back together. ACK!

That's awful high up for such a little bitty boy! Does he have any trouble getting down? I can't imagine Bob expending that much energy for anything. Lazy owner, lazy dog.

Pam... I do not allow Bailey to jump down. I give him the "stay" command and he stays until I get him and put him back on the ground. Bailey is post-legged, and I'm not willing to take the risk of him jumping from that high up and getting injured. He climbs on them by himself.. but I don't let him get down by himself -- much too risky. Yeah... he's a busy little guy for sure! haha
Send Bob down here for the summer - Bailey will teach him how to do it! LOL

Probably a good idea not to let him jump from that high up. I can't send Bob away to summer fat camp. I'd miss him too much!

that is so cute!! How do you get him down? Do you jump half way up and climb too?? Did he learn from you?? Bailey sure is cute, he needs cowboy boots!!

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too
