She probably has type B (aka Teddy Roosevelt) rattie in her. they have shorter legs and stockier frame than the type A's. in the health/diet forum, there is a thread called "explanation of type A/type B in ratties." I hope it helps.

She looks Rattie to me and sounds like she has the Rattie personality. Now, the ears can stand, button, or do some of both as she matures - so if the ears continue to button, that does not mean she isn't Rattie.
She is adorable -- I love her black color (as the owner of a black Lab and a black horse, and two previous black Labs and a previous black/tan Dobie, I'm partial to black. KS is the first mostly white (but some black!) dog I've ever had!!) Adidas is totally precious and welcome to the site to both of you!

Adidas does have a tickle spot on her belly that I just found. She seems to have shorter stockier legs/body than a Rattie though..but her personality and face look a lot like a Rattie...so that is where I am confused. She almost looks like a Pit/Rat mix...is that even possible??

Whatever she is, we love her to death. She came in as a 5wk old stray all by herself, so it was meant to be. She made it through that and she is a PARVO survivor! So, this special little girl is here to stay no matter what her actual breed...just trying to pinpoint it so that when I am asked, I can give an answer!

Just wanted to say "Welcome to you and Adidas".  She is a beautiful puppy and I think she has some Rat Terrier in her too.  lol  When I went to the foster home to pick out Amos last year, all of his litter mates were black with just a little white just like your Adidas.  He was listed as a terrier mix, but the foster mom told me that she'd seen both parents and he was definately full blooded....well, she missed it a little bit.  Amos is also a Parvo survivor and once he got over that, he kept growing and growing and growing!  He's now almost 50lbs!

So glad that you joined us!

I wouldn't worry about those stocky little legs! they do grow into them by 6 mons,  see before at 7 wks and then at 6 mons? of Domino by then you'll know what you got as far as size goes....a real cutie!post more!!!

Well, she's a Q-T-Pie for sure!   To me she looks like she's at least part rattie mixed with ?? And since anything's seems possible these days, why not Pitt/Rat?  If she has shorter stalkier legs she might be part Type B Rat rather than a type A which is more common these days.

Adidas is certainly a little cutie no matter what she is. She does seem to have at least some rattie in her. One of mine, CoCo, only has white bits on her feet, the rest is brown, so they can be pretty much all colors of the rainbow...lol. CoCo is also a Type B rattie, and she has those short stocky legs and is built like a tanker. Its really the personality that defines this breed, and it certainly is a funny and loving personality at that.
