Here is Chrissy, walking on the treadmill last night. She really likes it and we walk for about 5-10 minutes 3 times a day. |

| Just needed a way to get some of that energy out before bed time. I turn it on really slow at first, but she likes to pick up the pace a little after a minute or two. |

| Sarah -- that's an excellent idea, and I applaud you for teaching your dog to do this. I trained Bailey to walk on the treadmill.... but have to admit we don't do it much because he gets so much exercise with his agility classes, etc. I'M the one who needs to get on the treadmill !! haha |

Cesar Millan (The Dog Whisperer) suggests treadmill walking for high energy type dogs like terriers. He suggests it in the morning before you go to work so they basically nap most of the day and before bed so they sleep through the nite. I've read both books, Cesar's Way , and Be the Pack Leader, they have some good information in them. |

I love Cesar, he has some really good ideas that seem to work with consistancy and love.
We walk on the treadmill in the morning, at lunch and just before bed. Our treadmill should be smokin' LOL. Chrissy walks on it about 30 minutes a day, I walk on it for at least 30 minutes, hubby is on 45 min. to an hour a day. Once in a while our sons will hop on for a while. It was definately a good purchase. |

| thats cool! i wish i had a treadmill, i would have mine do this too. A treadmill probably wouldn't be a bad investment for me either. i may just settle for amlet working on 8 minute abs though. lol, jk. |

| Today at lunch Chrissy walked on the treadmill without a leash and with me at the same time. Ususally I let her walk first, I stand on the sides and hold her leash. It was my turn at lunch and she was upset that her turn was over. She jumped up on it and started walking beside me....no leash! I think I have created a monster. LOL |

| This morning I was running a little bit late and I was going to skip this part of our routine. Chrissy kept running to the treadmill and jumping up on it.....then would run back to me and bark. I finally had my son turn it on for her so I could go ahead and leave for work. |
