Opel is having asome pain after her shots today she does not want to be touched or pampered. when I picked her up to put her in her puppy pen she yelped its from where I brushed up against her shot place. she has this leave me alone world attitude going on right now... |

| Dont be surprised if she ends up with a little 'bump' under her skin where she had her shots....that's pretty common. Hope she feels better soon. |

Several different vets over the years have told me the actual injection site is always quite sore after rabies shots in particular. And small dogs will usually run a slight fever & be lethargic following rabies shots as it is very virulent live vaccine. There is usually a whelp at the site and they will yelp if you pick them up and touch that spot. I just try to pick them up less after rabies vaccines , or do so being very careful not to touch that neck/shoulder spot. |
