Let's just say I'm not Buddy's favorite person right now! We brought him home from the vet yesterday (neutering), and he did great. But today he has been licking his stitches a lot, so we had to do something about it. I think few things are more pitiful that seeing an animal wearing a cone!

I know! We hope so too. He is acting so pitiful, and rubbing against anything he can to try and nudge this thing off!

Awww, poor little boy....I brought my little guy, Bo, home yesterday from being neutered, also.  He has licked a few times, but doesn't seem obsessed with it--whenever we see him starting to lick his stitches, just a firm "EEEHHH!" noise will make him stop,  Hopefully the cone can come off soon.

GET WELL SOON, BUDDY!

Get well soon to Bo, too! Buddy is funny...you wouldn't have even known he had anything done at all...he was as cheerful as ever! That is, until the dreaded cone was put on. Surely these things heal up fairly soon.

Aw, I hope he heals soon. My little guy, Mario, was supposed to get neutered yesterday but his blood work wasn't good so we're waiting. Lots of vet action going on yesterday it seems. Give Buddy big hugs from us.

Poor guy! Mayfly DID get a cone off once - she reached up with her front paws and pulled it off like a person would pull off a motorcycle helmet!

We had to put a E-Collar on Charlie too. He knew he looked funny and just stood there and stared at me like I was evil for putting it on him.

Yes, I got lots of mean glances, and he definitely gave me the cold shoulder for about an hour. But, I was able to coax him back to his old self with a tasty chewie ;0
At least that seems to be distracting him for a bit! Thanks for all of your hugs and kind words! I'll post more pics once the collar comes off.

When sadie had hers she was at my aunts house being baby sat. My aunt told me that it didn't hardly bother her in the least, cept she kept bumping into things.

Poor Buddy!! I hope he feels better soon and can get that cone off. I had a yellow lab that needed a cone several times in his life. He couldn't get it off, so he bull-dozed through everything (and everyone) in his path.

Rest assured, he has been doing just that! He got upgraded to a clear e-collar today, so at least he's not bumping into things as much...but still, those sad looks are doing a number on me!!!
