We are having a christmas pot luck here at work and I have to bring a dessert.

We do not have a refridgerator here at work to keep things in until the pot luck lunch next week.

Any recipe suggestions?

brownies Everyone loves brownies! And they're simple to make, and don't require refridgeration... Or are brownies to simple?

Cookies are always good. I have a really simple recipe for Orea balls that are always a hit if you want to do something a little different. I think any kind of desert you make is bound to be a hit.

Ok here is the recipe for anyone who would like it.

Ingredients;
1- (16 ounce) package of regular oreos
1- (8 ounce) package of philidelphia cream cheese (softened)
2- (8 ounce) packages of semi-sweet white chocolate (you can use regular semi-sweet chocolate if you wish); Chocolate will need to be melted

Directions:
-Take 9 of the oreos and crush them into a fine crumb mixture in food proccessor; set aside for later use
- Take the remaining oreos and also crush into a crumb mixture; it helps if you do a few at a time and put them al in a medium mixing bowl
- Add softened cream cheese to the oreos that are in the bowl, stir until fully blended.
- Roll cookie mixture into balls about 1-inch in diameter (makes about 42)
- Melt the chocolate in a double boiler ( or slowly in a microwave) and dip balls into chocolate and then set on wax paper to stiffen
----- The best way to make them look pretty that I have found is to use two forks to dip them and let the excess run off or to use a scewer stick to dip them----
-Sprinkle reserved cookie crumbs on top of balls, and refrigerated until firm, about 1 hour.

These really are not that hard to do and everyone goes nuts over them.
Hope you all like them.

How about Smore Bars?! My aunt is a teacher and someone brought these to their potluck a few years ago and people were crazy about them. She made them for xmas one year at our gathering and they have been a family hit since.....here goes:

Smores

1/3 cup margarine
1 pkg mini marshmallows (10 3/4 oz)
8 cups Golden Graham cereal
1 cup milk chocolate chips (frozen)

Butter a 13x9 Pan
Melt margarine and marshmallows in large pan. Turn off heat. Gently stir in cereal and just before you put into 13x9 pan, toss in the frozen chocolate chips. Mix up and pour into buttered 13x9 pan.... Let set up and cut into bars.... YUMO!

Freezing the chocolate chips helps them hold their shape while you mix them.....

For the holidays you could sprinkle them with a little colored sugar....
