Skipper's doing fine with his crate, he's in there any time we aren't home.  He's started to chase the cat a couple of times but backs of quickly when we speak to him.  Little guy gathers his penguin each morning and takes it into the crate with him, then bounces out when I get home, again carrying his little penguin.

Also, he met a pekinese (neutered male) and got along with him and also a female coonhound - again no growling or agression.  Just reaffirms what I thought - he's agressive only to intact males.

And a funny note - last night we were walking in the cemetary and Loco was loose (having one well trained dog is such a blessing!!).  Well we came upon the couple with the Boston Terrier.  He's very fat and was laying down panting while they looked for a grave.  Loco ran up to him, got in the play position and tried to get him to play.  He just panted at her like "are you nuts?".

This is great news, Mary Beth! I had wondered how he was doing.
I took some photographs of a whippet at the fundraiser we had a few weeks ago for Melanie... he was beautiful and had such a wonderful personality. I have a soft spot for that breed -- canya tell?
Seems things furbaby-wise are going well right now and that's super news!

I have to say Loco is very obedient, she's even stopped in mid-run after a squirrel and come back to me. (Don't worry she was NOT near a road!)  She's very submissive and eager to please by nature....also professionally trained.  Of course, she's also slightly neurotic.

One thing I don't think I ever told y'all on here.  When we got Loco (Christmas 2001) she was 1 1/2 years old.  Breeders were selling her because she "didn't like showing" whatever that means.  Anyway, the first couple of times I took her to the local park she completely panicked when loose dogs came near her.  I mean she totally freaked out, got away from me in a nylon collar and then again almost got out of a harness!

I moved down here with Bill and his golden retreiver and over time she's gotten to the point where she goes up to any dog she meets and wants to play.  So that's a good thing!

Lots of great history in those graveyards. Glad Skipper is doing well with his crate. Loco must be a blast to be around.
