I know ratties (type A's anyway) mostly are on the lean side but I found this pic on the web.....makes just about any other dog seem skinny!

Aww that's terrible, poor guy can probably hardly walk!

My Yogi Bear is too fat, the vet said he needs to lose a couple lbs, being that he's only 22.5 lbs, 2 lbs is 10% of his body weight almost! We have cut back on his food sooo much and he walks about two miles a day, but so far, NOTHING!

Yeah, I've never seen a dog this fat before...cats yes but no dogs this fat.

What are feeding Yogi? Dogs are like people - some just have slow metobolism I guess.

This is sad to see a dog this big... It is so unhealthy. I'm glad Shadow is a type "A" lean, muscular 9 lb baby. I'm glad it was an internet photo and not one of your babies....

He gets about 2/3 a cup a day of California Natural Lamb & Rice because of allergies, mixed with green beans, steamed carrots and sweet potatoes.

I think I just feed him too many treats, we bought these tiny little eraser head treats but he's getting a ton a day because we're seeing a trainer and doing clicker training. Click *treat" Click *treat" Click *treat"

True, he is older and not very active around the house, I bet you're right and he does have a slow metabolism.  Like owner like dog, I guess!

I was going to suggest the green beans to fill him up more but you're already on that.
I can totally sympathize with him - I give myself too many treats! (Not adult, just sweet LOL)

What kind of dog is that supposed to be? Bob gets a little "hippy" sometimes. We just cut back on his portions a little until his rear end gets a little smaller.

I have no idea what they feed him (I just found the pic online while looking for something else) but I'm guessing waaaay too much human food. His poor heart, pancreas, etc. must be in bad shape!

now that is just sad!.

For some reason Cassie looks skinny until she lays down and than her belly poofs out.Last time i weighed her,she weighed 15 lbs.i think it's because at one time she weighed 19 lbs and when she lost the 4 lbs,her belly just kinda sags a little bit (i know you women know how that is).

That is so SAD!!!  That poor dog looks so unhealthy- I don't even know how he can get around....

Rowdy is so noce and slender- he never seems to put on weight.  But I guess we now need to stop cally Schatzi "Chubba Bubba".  Maybe I can hang the picture over her food dish and it will discourage her from eating too much...
