My little Zipper sleeps in the most contorted positions. I'm sure her sleeping upright a lot of the time, leaning on us or the chair backs is a result of having been a stray at such a young age. If we tried to lower her to a more normal position, she would immediately sit back upright and go back to sleep! We thought it was really weird. She probable slept this way so she could flee danger quickly. For months her sleep quality was poor, as she moved around at the slightest noise and particularly at any noises on TV. Again, staying alert for danger. Often that leaning upright turned into some interesting "pretzels" if we or Button were also in the same chair. We've had her since September and she is just lately beginning to sleep curled in a ball or stretched lengthwise on her side. But still occasionally lapses into upright sleeping.
Now Button can sleep in ANY position! |
