Gidget doesn't run anymore...she peels out and slides across the room (ocassionally hitting the wall), and has a blast doing it.  Weirdo.  But I must confess, I sometimes do the same thing whilst wearing wool socks.

hahaha...yes we have tile floors in most of our apartment and Trixi slides all over the place although i dont think she is doing it on purpose...you can tell she goes a little faster when she gets to the rug!!

Bailey does it too but not on purpose. She'll be running after a ball or something and when she hits the tile floor in the kitchen she slides sideways till she slams into the backdoor.

I recently remodeled & put hardwood in the main part of the house. Both dogs are slipping and feel very unsure of their footing when jumping onto chairs. The occasionally loose their footing on sofa dismounts. Button is getting the "ice skating" down to a "fine art". She has learned precisely when to stop the legs and slide into her toys to not slam into the wall when playing fetch! NO KIDDING! Funny to watch the girls do corners when they're chasing each other around, too. Reminds me of cartoons with racing scenes where the cartoonist shows feet spinning like car wheels. LOL
