Has anyone read Janet Evanovich's "Full" series she writes with Charlotte Hughes?  I think the first one was Full House.  The series is set in Beaumont, S.C. and the main character is Jamie Swift.  Her romantic interest is Max Holt.  Other characters include Max's car that has a talking computer (who has hot flashes), Destiny Moultrie who is a psychic and has ghosts attach themselves to her, and Jamie's hound dog named Fleas.

Yes Mame ALL OF THEM ... I've also read all the "Metro Girl" books as well as her re-rereleased romance novels (though they are all similar, they are still cute and fun reading). I believe "Full Scoop" was the latest one.

I just checked out a book she wrote with Leanne Banks, Hot Stuff.  I haven't started it yet, but on the back cover it says this:

"An aspiring teacher, Cate studies by day and bartends by night, living in the arty South End of Boston with an often-absent drag queen named Marty (Marta) Longfellow. The perfect living arrangement-a big strong roommate...not interested in women, plenty of alone time and low rent-turns wholly suspicious when Marty disappears, leaving behind a lovable bullmastiff named Beast. Cate's sexy love interest, barroom regular Kellen McBride, is an "independent recovery agent" who believes that Marty is responsible for a string of one-of-a-kind jewelry heists; after Marty's place gets tossed, Cate teams up with him to track down the missing Marty before whoever's after him comes after her. Like other Evanovich novels, there's a madcap race to the finish while mysteries are solved and hearts are stolen."

I haven't. I've read the Metro Girls and all the Stephanie books. I have read a few of her earlier romance novels and have to say I did not care for them. I'm not a romance novel type and just thought they were very average. But I love the Stephanie and Metro Girl books. BTW, the new Stephane (13 something) is out in hardback now.

I am quite a ways into this one. It is CUTE. I started it on the plane when we went on our cruise ... set it aside and haven't picked it up again. Thanks for the reminder ... sounds like a nice beach book.

In the Lean Mean Thirteen book, she writes about giving Morelli's Bob some Bob Chow. That's what we've started calling our Bob's dog food.

I just LOVE Bob in the Plum series. Remember when Stephanie would bring him over to Joan's??? house to poo on the lawn. You know ... the one that her husband had the affair with on the kitchen table.

Joyce Barnhart.  Yeah, I remember.    Bob also eats clothes and furniture.

I probably love the Plum series more than any other books I've ever read. I'm reading one of her pre-Plum, romances now Manhunt, I think. It's o.k. kind of light, funny, and predictable, but sometimes that's all I need

I did remember she's supposed to start a new series co-authored with Stephen J. Cannell (Rockford Files, Hawaii Five-O, etc., etc., ) the first book out is supposed be titled: No Chance, but they've removed the release date from Janet's website saying it's being rescheduled.

Here's a synopsis from another website:

No Chance
by Janet Evanovich and Stephen J. Cannell

From New York Times bestselling authors Janet Evanovich and Stephen J. Cannell comes the first book in a new series of high-stakes novels…

The O.C.—Orange County, California. Land of luxury yachts, exotic cars, seaside estates, and extravagant dreams. Also home to Benjamin Cannon and Sidney Picket.

Cannon is six feet of ex-Special Forces muscle and boy-next-door charm. With his DIA career in the can and no pension in his future, Cannon is spending some time living on the Texas Goose, a 230-foot yacht owned by oil tycoon Quentin Gosling. He’s sorting out life’s priorities, attending the local community college.

Okay, so an art history class isn’t the most ambitious move, but it’s ambition nonetheless. Only thing is it doesn’t register as ambition to Picket, the no-nonsense ex-Naval officer captaining the Goose. To her, it seems a lot like goofing off—even if she finds Cannon more than a little attractive.

Cannon arrives in Newport Beach shortly after Picket's best friend and mentor has gone missing, along with a brand-new 60-foot Warwick sloop. Soon Cannon is up to his ears with Sidney Picket in a fast-paced plot of corruption, international intrigue, and piracy. Plus some cussing, killing, foreplay, and emotional justice, not to mention a whole lot of fun and a kick-ass ending.

This is not just another coauthored book. Janet Evanovich and Stephen J. Cannell, the minds that created Stephanie Plum and Jim Rockford, team up to create a book of hard-hitting action, compelling characters, and unique humor. Hot damn, skipper, we love it when a plan comes together.

Read 'em all! I like them. I have read some of her romance books too. Didn't like them as much. Just checked on my reservation for '13', I'm #350 in the waiting list! Grrrr!
