We have been feeding Dilly Iam's dry food since she was a pup, and she likes it just fine.  Occassionally I tried different wet foods, just giving her a little bit on top of the dry at suppertime, change of pace, whatever, but she hated everything I tried.  She adores people food of course, but I severely limit what we give of that, as most of it is too rich, fatty, salty, etc.

Well, with all the recall hoopla, I started looking at other foods, even though the Iams we feed her was never recalled.  I thought I'd like to give her something healthier.

About a month ago I discovered Pet Promise wet food and I bought a can and Dilly LOVES it!  It has no meat byproducts and it is endorsed by Andrew Weil, which I think is a good thing.  Then I got the dry food, started out by mixing it with her Iams dry food to switch her over slowly, but she LOVES the Pet Promise, and picks it all out and leaves the Iams!

It is a little pricier, but I feed Dilly about 1/4 can per evening, and she free feeds her dry food (generally about 1-1&1/2 cups a day) and she is healthy and happy.  AND pooping less often, and smaller. (bonus)

Has anyone else tried it?  Check out their website if you are interested.

I am going to try it. I was feeding Maggie and my cat Sonny Nutro until the recall. My cat is so picky he won't eat loaf canned food. I give him wet food once a day and he will only eat sliced or chunks in gravy. I don't give Maggie wet food cuz it always makes her poo alot. I am going straight to the store. By the way, there is a Vitamin Shoppe near me and I never new they sold pet stuff...how cool is that!!!
