I am going to have to sell this Antique setee set that I have....          I had to use my truck payment money to take the trip to Kentucky...    and I have a ton of utility bills here to pay...

I don't want to have to borrow on my equity,   but I might have to...  I have $5000.00 in instant credit...     if i do this I will take a grand to catch up ...

Plus next week I am only working Monday and Tuesday because of the summer shut downs of our customers...             This is gonna hurt me and put me way behind...

I am also selling my  piano...  its a Kimball Spinet....              $500.00 for the piano and setee set...

I have pics of both if you want to see them...

Giving up the setee set don't bother me cos I want a sectional couch for my living room, and it bugs me that the dogs are always on it...

Jan, awww, I hate that you have to do that, but  you could advertise it on EBAY.

Aww that's too bad. Maybe you can sell it to someone local and buy it back when times are better.

Don't use ebay unless you have to, as there's a fee associated with selling a product, even if you do NOT sell it.
Try craiglist.com. It's totally free.
But make sure you have someone with you when the buyer's come to inspect. You never want to be alone with a complete stranger, ya know?

Awww, Jan, I'm sorry. Hopefully you'll get back to where you need to be soon. The shutdown at work stinks!!!!

Sorry Jan! That's so hard to "have" to sell something. I would try craigslist. I've never sold anything on there, but I have bought many things. It is a great place! But I would take that great advice and have someone with you when a buyer comes... there are scary people out there.

oh, and sometimes when we go to check something out to buy, the seller has the items out side the house already, so we never have to go inside their house. Might be hard to do that with a piano though...

Hope things get better soon Jan. Have kinda been in the same boat here recently. Our only saving grace right now is two horses sold!

Jan, do you know of any where that you could work temporarily while the plant is closed? Maybe one of your old jobs could use a little part-time help.

Jan, I'm sorry to hear this too. Keep in mind though, that they are only things... I'm in the same boat myself and everytime it looks like we might just get a teensy bit ahead something else drops on us... times are hard everywhere hon, don't feel like you are going this solo. If you need a shoulder and you don't call me, I'll be seriously bent! (I may not always behave well on the phone but you know full well that I love ya!). I would try your local newspaper first, costs under 10 bucks to place an ad and its local so you won't get inquiries from long distances... can you even imagine what it would cost to ship a piano? And nycmom has a serious point she's making there! You are suspicious of your neighbor even... becareful who you let in your house! Ok enough of me being a mother... you know what to do!

Thanks kids...
I don't have a problem selling the Antique setee set.. I've never been an antique person anyway... other than family stuff...
Plus I have the Birch dresser that they left, and 2 rockers, a dining table and a coffee table...
Plus, my living room is big enough for a sectional...which I have always wanted..
And the piano, well I don't play and don't know anyone that does... it bugs me that this beautiful instrument is just siting here...

Sorry to hear you'll need to sell some things to get by Jan... but so glad to hear that they aren't things that will be real painful to sell
