I'm home for a bit washing some pj tops for mom. Had to take Aka to the vet today for his 4 month shots. He weighed in at a whopping 5.3 pounds!! funny little man.
He has developed something on his neck and he has been scratching it till it bleeds. Doctor gave me some antibiotics and a topical cleanser and cream to put on it twice a day. My life is getting to complicated. I'm not sure I 'm here ever 12 hours to do this so I have to figure out someway to set an alarm for that too.
Mom hit a critical point Tuesday night, her leg stopped getting better and started getting worse. The redness went back up her leg and she began developing blistering pustules on the back of her leg. It freaked us both out. Mom was worried she would lose the leg and that still isn't out of the question.
Wednesday morning her doctor came for rounds and said, we are getting limited on options since mom is allergic to several antibiotics. He added a new one to the list so three are being pumped into her.
Thank goodness that this afternoon, we are seeing some small improvement. The blistering is not progressing and the red has gone back down to where it was before Tuesday. I just hope and pray we can keep the healing going. This is the worst case of cellulitus they have seen.
If this doesn't work, I'm not sure what the next steps are but I will be looking at getting her airlifted to one of the larger research hospitals such as Baptist which is part of Bowman Grey School of Medicene or Duke, etc.
I stayed on the floor again and that really took my back and knees out so I am battling pain along with no sleep and worry.
