Tucker's *maybe* new dad was going to come and meet him last Sunday, but got stuck at work and had reschedule for this coming weekend. Since we're going to meet at a park, I did a little video so he could see how Tucker is here at his foster home.  We have a big oak and glass enclosure with birds & a box turtle.. and I was telling him about Tucker "watching" the box turtle for hours, just like he's watching TV.. and got a little of that in the video too. Tucker is such a sweetie... and I know he is going to love having a new home where he can finally get away from the 3 bossy GIRLS!

Oh, he's such a good boy -- you can just tell! And he's great at catching the ball. I hope things work out for him!

Tucker is a cutie. You don't want to keep him and his sister together?

I had an email from Tucker's now "almost" new dad... and he loved the video!  Everything else has been done except the home visit, which is going to be on Saturday... and once that is done he should be officially approved.

Pam ~ Yes... I would have LOVED to see Lizzy & Tucker be adopted "together" -- but was told there would be a slim chance of that happening.  At first this was really sad for me to accept... thinking of sending them off separately... but after I got to know them... they are each very different... and for the most part totally ignore each other.

I am still hoping that Lizzy will end up going to a family as an *only* dog -- because she is SO very sweet (like that dog you've always wanted sweet!) When she is with her "people" she is such a joy to be with.... but she is NOT all that nice with the other dogs (w/brother Tucker, or my dogs) but would really "shine" as an only dog...  and would totally love being a spoiled rotten princess!  Lizzy is now on her 4th application for adoption. The video I did with her playing ball with Lucy outside shows how far she has come in 10 weeks... but I still have to be honest with the applicants (that all have had other dogs in the family)...  Lizzy just isn't ALWAYS this good in the house playing with toys.  I think with more time/work she COULD get better... but for right now I spend 50% of my time with her telling her....  "BE NICE LIZZY"  Tucker is "ready to go" and a totally perfect boy! It might be that Lizzy will end up staying with me until she too will fit into most any family... and that's okay!

I guess I was projecting human emotions on Lizzie and Tucker. It doesn't sound as if they are that close or that they will miss each other that much. I'm glad you are looking out for their best interests and trying to find the best possible home and family for each one.
