I just got offered my DREAM job!!  I have an interview tomorrow at 2:00!!  This guy has been after me to come work for him, but he kept saying it was in his warehouse, so I didn't pursue it.  I finally called him today just to check it out, it is for an OFFICE MANAGER!!!  He really wants me because he knows me and knows that I have experience in that field.  He wants someone permanant and will pay really well AND be flexible when it comes to my boys!!  He asked what I wanted my starting pay to be, I told him and he said, oh, well I'm sure we can do better than that!!!!!!!!  Now....what the heck do I do with the kids??????????  I have calls in to all the local daycares to see what openings and how much they charge!  He told me that if I needed to, he would let me work half days until school started!  I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO  excited!!!  All of this in addition to my 1200 Avon brochure thing, and my jewelry fashion show!!!  I am so excited I'm shaking!!!!!!!

Congrats! This means you can now support your pup in a manner to which he could quickly become accustomed! All salary increases go directly to dog toys!

I'm really not sure about who else is in the office or anything. I was so flabergasted that I couldn't think!!  I guess I will find out in my interview tomorrow.  I am so excited!  I have already called and found out that a Tae Kwon Do place here in town has openings for both boys. (it costs a ton in the summer, but during the school year it's only $128.00 for both kids AND they pick them up from school!  I know that God has his hand on this one!  I have been praying so hard!!

What kind of business does this guy have?

Tae Kwon Do is a good activity to get your boys involved in. Mine started when they were in kindergarten. Of course, it adds a whole new dimension when they get into fights at home.

It is a plumbing supply company. It is a fairly large company with stores in four large cities in NC. It is a family owned business and I know the owners really well. The only reason the opening came up, is that the girl that is doing it got married and her hubby got a job in another town, so they are moving.

(I'm a little nervous for Blake to learn Tae Kwon Do!!! I have heard that if you have a child with discipline problems, that this is great for them!!)

Brandy, that's excellent news. I wonder if they'll let you bring your baby to work...he can always be a mascot for the company, right?

@ the martial arts...I've heard that any area of martial arts is particularly good for children with discipline problems, because they HAVE to respect the instructor, but there is never any brute force. In return the child actually learns to be more respectful, in general, as they develop self-esteem.

Can you take the boys to a free class?  The studio where my kids went would offer this.  My oldest took lessons for 10 years and even taught for a couple of years.  He's a third degree black belt.  My youngest only took lessons for 4 years, earned his black belt, and promptly dropped out.

My son Kyle NEVER had discipline problems but he was shy and reserved. He has been in Kenpo karate for 10 years and is now a 3rd degree black belt. He is 16. I cannot emphasise how much this has helped him in all aspects of his life. His concentration is amazing. He's an A student in Honors classes in H.S. He now has confidence like I've never seen. As a mother of a martial artist I can recommend and affirm as to how wonderful this is for children. I'm sure it will be great for him Brandy.

If I had time, I probably could take them to a free class, but I have a feeling that they will be starting on Monday!!  LOL!  I know that they would like it though.  My oldest has friends that do it and Blake NEEDS to do it to help him learn discipline and respect.  Everyone that I know who has kids at this place LOVES it.  It helps to that they are very Christian oriented so they kind of tie in Christian beliefs with the discipline of Martial arts!

My "baby" just turned five and will be going to Kindergarten in six weeks, so he will be going to the Martial arts class with his brother.  (besides, they all know him and I don't think they would let him near their office!! LOL  He is wonderfully sweet, but VERY energetic and VERY VERY VERY talkative!!! LOL)

It sounds like a good solution, Brandy! Your oldest won't feel like he is being left at daycare, which is for babies , and your youngest will adapt better having his older brother there.

My oldest learned a lot of patience from teaching the younger kids, but it also made him not want to have any children of his own. Maybe he will change his mind when he gets older. He said the hardest part of the job was dealing with the parents.
