So I have a question.  My little one is a mix of AHT and at TRT and he is fawn to blonde with a patch of white on his chest.  He measures at 10 legs 13 body and 16 around his ribs @ 13 pounds.  There is no fat on him.  Can I register??  My breeder has both parents register and she didn't have the time to do the pups.  Is it to late?  I want to breed due to his disposition and great body type but I don't want to dilute the population with nonpapered pups.  What should I do??

I think you can register at any time. Someone else will know the answer though. I just wanted to say welcome to the site. Can you post a picture of your little guy?

Welcome! I think we have a breeder here with AHT's that will probably be able to help. Not sure how to go about it if he is a "mixed" TRT and AHT. Would love to see pics!!!

Are the parents Ukc registered? I know Ukc allows Aht/Rt crossing but for aht/trt, I don't know. I would think so. Whatever they ae registered with I would visit their website.

I would check the UKC site too. I know that hybrids are allowed but I am not sure about the rules of breeding them. Darla would be best to ask. She has hairless and ratties. The most difficult thing about the whole thing is that Rat Terriers, American Hairless Terriers, and Teddy Roosevelt Terriers all come from the same stock and have been separated for only a short time. There seem to be some people out there that think they are all the same breed and it is really confusing with all the different registries too. So Ask Darla.maybe pm her, she had more experiance with the breeds than I do.

ANYTHING WORTH DOING IS WORTH OVERDOING Mom of eight, only three left at home! Pack leader to ten ratties: Maggie, Mysty, Berry, Simon, Ceecee and five puppies, Star,Sari, Bluebelle, Double stuf, and Snortie. As well as Ginger the Border Collie and a herd of turkeys!

Hello Terrilsblue,

I am Ken, the other half of KnD Kennels with my angel, Darla.

Thank you for asking your question here BEFORE you breed.

May I ask please who bred your dog? May we see your baby in a pic?

Ken Jones.
