Hi all,

This is my first post to the site and I will do a quick intro.

I have a beautiful Mini named Zoe'. She's about 12 lbs, Tri color, type A, female soon to be 4yrs.

We are new to the region and are looking for potential breed males.

Her last heat was in December 06 and she had 1 litter the year before.

I would love to hear from local breeders. Karen

I don't know of N. Ca breeders, only know of OR and WA breeders and Most of OR breeders have deckers. You could try Annies rats online, maybe somebody there knows breeders in your area. Has your bitch had her eyes and patellas tested? Many breeders won't breed to a female that hasn't been tested.

ANYTHING WORTH DOING IS WORTH OVERDOING Mom of eight, only three left at home! Pack leader to ten ratties: Maggie, Mysty, Berry, Simon, Ceecee and five puppies, Star,Sari, Bluebelle, Double stuf, and Snortie. As well as Ginger the Border Collie and a herd of turkeys!

Jeff and Janet,

I saw that you told Karen to contact you reguarding breeding.. I am going to be looking for a male in the next year. I also have a female tan, A type bitch that I am going to breed. So far it it hard to find many males around here. Is it alright if I also contact you?

I know of two rattie breeders, one where my parents got Rita and another where I got Niko. Let me know if you want their numbers/email/websites.

We will have two litters next spring, pending OFA results on one of the females. Both will be mini's in size. One girl is a UKC GRCH and the other is a UKC CH. Both litters will carry a high % of the Fire Mountain line.

Casey here is a 3yr.old male, tri-colored, UKC papered. We live in Eureka, California. I don't know much about dog breeding, but he is healthy and great tempered. About 11 lbs.Like I said I don't know much about breeding, but if you are interested? it's an option. You can look at more pics of him as www.SuperCasey.com

You have two hands, you might as well have two ratties....right?

Our current stud dog is UKC CH Logan Lane's Seymour Ribbons

He is the brother of the very first UKC NBOB winner. He is OFA tested and has sired two UKC CH's so far in 3 litters. He is a black tri calico and carries several colors. He is 12 1/2 inches and runs 13 pounds most of the time

WOW!! What a good looking boy!! What is it that you require for breeding? I am going to start the testing on Ana in the next 3 to 4 months. She will then be 1. I really would like to talk to you about your stud service. My Ana is also VERY tall and slim..I did meet a stud at the Rat Terrier meet up in Roseville. He is a good looking boy also. I would just love to see your stud.

Wait till she is 2 to breed her and only after her OFA testing.

I would need to see a pedrigee on her.

Yes I will defently wait till she is 2...and I want to make sure that she will have good puppies. You most surently can look at pedrigee.  I would only expect the best for our babs.

Hello Karen;

I am Snoopy's Mom, Debra.  Snoopy is a 9 year old male in great health.  Snoopy has beautiful markings with a very sweet and easy "terrier" disposition.  He's not a handful or high maintenance.  He shares his house with Kaile the female boxer.  They make a great team because he mouses and lets us know when there are strangers around while Kaile stands there and only looks mean (only to would run away when approached) while snoopy lifts his ears as if to make himself larger than the 20 lbs he is.  Snoopy is tri colored: black, white, and tan, type A, and is a virgin (can you say that about dogs?)

Because of his personality, I have been wanting to stud him just for a male and female offspring.  However, I have little knowledge about breeding.  If you are still interested I'd be willing to partner up with you on this.  Because we were never interested in showing or breeding for profit, Snoopy is not registered but we have the papers to register him if we wanted.  Both of his parents were registered pure bred UKC rat terriers.  I've seen them and his siblings and they were all beautiful.  Snoopy's mom is a successful breeder because she had already  three litters with 12 puppies each.

We live in Fairfield CA.  Please contact me if you are still interested at debra_rp@yahoo.com
